if its 48,000 to level up, and 140 XP per driod that equates to 342.85 driods. Resources breaks down to 19,542.4 metal componets, and 5,142.7chem, ifanyone cares. I have no problem with these levels just add content, im almost to novice engineer, andat this rate i will not be able tosell any of my driods because of market saturation. Nor do i want to see a 1,000 MDE within a week that would be dumb.

Please add more driods, I dont care if i have toscour the galaxy to find the right componets, as long as the xp is worth it and i could sell it someday.

To escape themonontonyof grinding i am working towards pistoleer which i find helps.

I don't even think it has to be new droids. New modules would work just as well. Provide variable functionality for our current droids.

Although, new droids would be nice. I would settle for additional modules, UXP and multiple droids at this point. I don't think that is too much to ask for.

Don't have much else to add, I think all the salient points have been covered more than sufficently. I just hope someone actually listens and see's the need.

I agree 150% with everything that has been said so far. This level of grinding is not fun and quite honestly not worth it. At least with the other professions you can at least create something useful, but not as a Novice DE. All you can create is a Mouse droid that has a usefull rating of -25%. So all of the effort is a complete waist of time. I have spent a lot of time getting to Novice DE and am ready to trash it and start over. And how are we suppose to support ourselves? You can't sell any of this junk, so unless you are also working a hunting class, you're pretty much in begar mode to get any type of cash to do your advancements.

I could have spent 21k xp to become a Weaponsmith and be making things that players can use, but nope... I was stupid and aspired to be a DE only to be nerfed.

And while I'm on my soap box, why aren't there any crafting missions? If you spec your character for brains rather than brawn, you are really screwed 'cuz you can't kill jack. And the delivery missions aren't worth the time required to do them. In fact, if you take a delivery mission that requires you to travel to another planet, you are going to loose credits rather than make them. There is a significant imbalance with the overall economy and it really makes it hard to stay motivated.

Something needs to change!

I've had droid engineering skill for a week now but never use it because its so incredibly useless. Working to the next tier of skills seems like a futile effort. I'd have to build something like 1,500 of those mouse droids to get anywhere with the skill but I'd have to destroy them all because they don't do anything. This skill needs to be fixed.

So everyone seems to want the DE profession to be easier, less grind? Well guess what, if you make it easier, then you still have the same lump of DE's plowing throught the skill tree. And instead of a market flooded with MSE droids, you have a market flooded with binary load lifters. Then people will complain that they can't sell any of their binary load lifters. So they have to grind through these. Then the cry will go up again to make the binary load lifters easier....etc..

Where does it stop? People want this nebulous 'grind' taken care of, when they themselves are creating it. If you made it easier, people would just push that much harder.

I do agree that there could be more useful droids at the first teir however. It is lacking.

Bah to all of you -- I've almost mastered the DE tree, and I enjoy every bit of it. The fact that you are all calling it a grind shows that you are not "playing" you are just trying to "win." In real life you don't get to have a lot of fun while you are a grunt, but once you finally make it to the top -- things smooth out, why should a game wanting to model that be different? In real life you have to take years and years to get to the top of a lot of fields, and yet you think that in 2 weeks of playing you should be maxxed out in your skills....get over yourselves.

Yes there is a lot of exp to get to the top. Yes, if you are just grinding through it, it really sucks. No, it shouldn't be made any easier. No, I don't think it WILL be made any easier. Our class is set-up for the future. When vehicles and space travel are put in for player control, our class is primed to take advantage of that. Once the droids are finished and do what they are supposed to, we'll be a much more powerful class than most of you realize. The devs know this, that's why it's so hard to get through it. I STILL am able to sell MSE droids to people you just have to know how to market things. If you can't sell what you are making, then you need to just get the skill points back from D.E. and go be a scout or a marksman.

Ours is a hard path and a long path, but it's also a lot of fun and rewarding if you'd quit whining and enjoy it.

(no I didn't play beta, no I am not part of a PA, I did this all myself by making friends and contacts in the game and going from there...if I can do it so can you)
