Here's one for you that might be a gamebreaker for DE's if it gets too far out of hand. Droid Repair Kits decay on death. This is COMPLETELY unlike the situation with meds and petstims. Not a good thing.

Okay, here are my two bugs/annoyances. I'm not sure if this is pre-publish 7 or not:

1) This is more of a general crafting bug. Crates of items stored in the input hopper of a private crafting station do not show up when you are crafting. Individual items do show up. This makes the input hopper useless for storing anything expect metals/fiberplast, etc. I am instead forced to load up my backpack to bursting with crates of sub-components.

2) When examining the deed for a droid, you can't tell if it has a crafting station in it. Even after it has been called, you still can't tell by using the 'examine' option. It's sometimes a hardsell telling customers that they have to take your word for it that a droid has a certain type of crafting station. Even my own droids I forget which one has what type of station. It would be nice to get this corrected.

Thanks TK,

More Publish 7 droid bugs/quirks:

1. My Droid Repair Kits make a 'food-munching' sound when used on a droid.

2. BLL still does nothing.

3. Protocol droid still does nothing.

this one is real old. it's always been that way. it was a major annoyance for me too, but I don't use my crafting station much anymore (I prefer working at the factory with my crafting droid at my side). but i do wish they would fix this issue anyway. but wouldn't want it on the DE issue list. that issue is too long already.... /sigh

Blatz, there is a small workaround on this. It can be annoying in that it takes a few moments of time, but it's better than having to carry the crates. Uncheck 'Filter Items' and find the crate you need, then move it to your inventory. Use the crate, then put it back in the hopper. Even if you filter items, that crate will continue to show for at least a little while. I haven't figured out if it's leaving the general area of the crafting station (out of range of hopper) or what yet that causes it to eventually disappear again.

Thanks MusicManZarick, I'll try your suggestion with the crates in the crafting station.

Malitev, are you saying that you can get the same results with a droid-mounted crafting station as with a regular private crafting station? I paid big bucks for a +42 rating on mine, hate to think that was for nothing...

Come to think of it, what exactly is the rating of a droid mounted crafting station anyway?

Heh, crafting station ratings are a bigger mystery than jedi ever was... Right now we have no indication as to what the rating on a droid crafting station is. Most of the people I've talked to think that its about as high as a great architect station.

That said, I'm still inclined to believe that ratings on crafting stations don't actually do anything. Supposedly the effect the number of failures versus successes with experimentation, but with any crafting station I've used I get great successes about 90% of the time.

My own personal belief is that the ratings on Architect-created crafting stations are irrelevant, or at best statistically inconsequential, and that Droids have no equivalent rating and are therefore "perfect" when compared to an Architect crafting station.

I have seen plenty of tests and studies done, and not a one of them has ever proven that the rating of a crafting station means anything. I have seen +39 compared to +15, +23 compared to -10, droid compared to +42, droid compared to 0, etc, etc. In all the tests I have seen there has been no statistically meaningful difference.

So that's what I tell my customers. Droid crafting stations are just as good as the best architect crafting stations that you can buy, and may actually be better.

Do I own a +44.5 Architect Crafting Station? I sure do, and I use it most of the time. But that's only because I like the guy who was making them and wanted to support him. The credits were insignificant.

hmmm...interesting news about crafting stations. My own experience has also had me thinking that ratings do mean a hack of a lot, although perhaps they will in future publishes. I haven't used my crafting droid much, but I think that I will use it more from now on.

Thanks to all who gave advice!

I noted something EARLYthis morning on my Alt.

A next-generation Probot, dmg rated at 136 - 150 (or in that area), firing on a fixed installation (rebel encampment) at point blank range.

Damage done (per-round) was consistently under 100 and RARELY over 120... What gives?
