Thread: Droids: Where we were and where we’re going.
Woot.
Just one question, will there be new combat chassis's for the 6-combat-module one's?

To have the strongest combat droid, six 100% combat modules must be used in constructing a droid.
Five Modules:
ADV R2
Six Modules:
ADV R3
So, this means that the Advanced R3 will be the most powerful combat droid, with R2-D2 running a close second?
The binary load lifter, that great lumbering beast, has but one module - so, he won't be too great at stepping on things?
Yes!!! I always knew that if I had a big @$$bazooka andmiles of ducttape.. I could make R2D2 the ultimate super weapon in the universe...

Thx TH for getting this together. For the rest of the DE's ... we will be paying close attention. We appreciate your patience with us in getting this info out to you

One concern of the top of my hairy head is that there should be more bug fixes addresses?

Sketh,
TH mentioned that combat modules can only be put into units that are cabable of combat. It is possible that Astromech droids will not be capable of combat therefore any R unit will not be able to have the modules put into it.
If the modules stack 6 high, and if you look at my list of chasis and modules, the advanced R3 is the ONLY droid that can hold 6 modules.
Also, on TC today, one of the patch notes was something about preventing a bug that kept Astromechs from firing....
TH, good job. Just hope people read what you have posted. The immediate question would be what is in the works for above CL10 combat droids?
I have to agree, this looks very promising

JustG,
Thanks for getting this out....now we can breathe quite a bit deeper, I suspect.
I'd like to say that I'm sure there's some things that I'll ask for clarification on...but I'll do that in the main thread (nicely, I promise).

Respectfully,
It is still an early look, but here is our goal for Droid Modules
I know it is still early but, anything for the other profs?
I was really looking forward to have robots that could do battle on the level of the high end monsters.. It always seemed to make more sense to me to have a droideka or something similiar then a 5 story monster following me around.
