Thread: Centralized Droid Issues
Section 1 deals with all known Droid User issues. These issues include all known droid use issues, from the stand point of a droid owner and the Droid Engineer. This section includes a number of 'improvements' that should be added in order to make the use of droids more intuitive.

Schematic Issues
- Issue -
- This Cluster has a default Structure Maintenance Rating of 0. When crafting an Advanced R3 Unit, with a Structure Maintenance module installed, the last clusted to be placed in the droid will override the Structure Maintenance Rating.
- Example - Two Combat-Capable Socket Clusters are installed into an Adv R3 Unit. Cluster 1 has a Structure Maintenance Module installed, giving the Cluster a Structure Maintenance Module Rating of 9. Cluster 2 does not have a Structure Maintenance Module installed, so it has a default rating of 0. If Cluster 1 is installed into the droid, and then Cluster 2 is installed, the droid will end up with a Structure Maintenance Module rating of 0. If Cluster 2 is installed and then Cluster 1 is installed, the droid will end up with a Structure Maintenance Module rating of 9.
- Structure is misspelled in the Step 3/6, Step 5/6, and Step 6/6 of the Crafting windows and is also misspelled when the cluster is completed. Structure is spelled Stucture in all 4 instances. This misspell appears in the information window in the line 'Stucture Maintenance Rating'
- In Step 5/6 of the crafting process, Experimental Durability does not appear to have any effect. This experimentation value appears to be completely erroneous.
- In Step 5/6 of the crafting process, Experimental Effectiveness will increase the maximum Mechanism Quality rating. The intial Mechanism Quality rating is based upon the Mechanism Quality rating of all modules installed into the Combat-Capable Socket Cluster. The Mechanism Quality rating does not appear to have any effect on the entire droid crafting process, so it appears to be completely erroneous data.

At random points, better successes will result in the Mechanism Quality decreasing, instead of increasing like is should.

This has resulted in dozens of complaints on the forums and issues with JtL Astromech droids. If dozens of complaints can be found on the forums, about this issue, then more statics would suggest that more complaints can be found in game, with this issue.

Looks great. I really don't think you missed anything other than the fact that medical modules are useless now since wounds can be healed anywhere.
I agree with the idea of speaking droids talking more often, though they should have an option to "mute".
One suggestion for a new feature for droids would be to have at least most, if not all models of droids have a unique innate ability, sorta like how the power droid can recharge another droid (though that is nearly useless since only one droid can be called at a time)
Here are a few examples:
- WED and R4 droid: minor repairs to vehicles (no more than 40% of max "health")
- LE Repair, Advanced WED, and Advanced R4: moderate repairs to vehicles (no more than 70% max "health")
- Advanced LE Repair: major repairs to vehicles (85% - 95% max "health")
- 3PO protocol droid: translate common non-basic languages within a certain perimiter (15 meters?)

- Ryl
- Zabraki
- Rodese
- Advanced 3PO protocol droid: translate common and rare languages within a larget perimiter (30 meters?)

- R5 droid: naturally be a level 1 astromech droid
- R2 droid, Advanced R5 droid: naturally have level 2 astromech capability
- Advanced R2 droid: naturally have level 4 astromech capability (reduce number of max commands perhaps?)
- R3 droid: naturally have level 3 astromech capability
- Advanced R3 droid: naturally have level 5 astromech capability (reduce number of max commands perhaps?)
- Probot droid: naturally be combat level5 pet
- Advanced Probot droid: naturally be combat level 15 pet
- DZ17 droid: give warcry, taunt, and intimidate bonusses
- Advanced DZ17 droid: above bonusses, plus naturally be combat level 10
- MSE droid: ability to carry a "notepad" with room for3 editable messages readable by group members
- Advanced MSE droid: using same idea as /findfriend, ability to "send" (transfer) droid to a friend on the same planet
- Binary Lift Loader: natural storage capacity of 10 objects
- Advanced Binary Lift Loader: natural storage capacity of 25 objects
- Power Droid: same as current - recharge another droid
- Advanced Power droid: abilty to put a small amount of energy into a factory (5 units per percentage of battery life used - user's option)
I think that covers them all, though I may have missed one. What do you think? possible? feasable? I would love to see this; it would make droids much more useful than they are now.

Medical Modules are not useless. They just aren't a requirement anymore. A Level 6 Medical Module will add approximately 450 point of Health to a Bacta Shot, regardless of the persons medical skills. I won't really comment on this right now. I still have Section 4 to add, which are some of my personal favorite ideas. Section 4 is a completely seperate part of this thread, but listed to give the DEV team a general sense of what the community has discussed. This part of the thread will evolve as the communityadds more discussion on the subjects.

Excellent information! I had no idea about the usefullness of the surgical droids. One of my toons is a DE, but I'm still learning a lot about the profession(no one else I knew took that route, so I've had to learn it as I go along). Thanks for the information!
Just pulled a the last Seeker from a crate and it has 20 charges, instead the bugged old 10 charges.
Can only guess but i would say they fixed both of them
