i haven't read throuh all 7/8 pages of this post so please take my submission as a new/confirm report:

pre-patch droid customization kits were not use-able by a non-DE. This was Thursday, 18 March I tried to give one to a customer to color his own droid. I am still under the impression that droid customization kits are supposed to be used by non-DE's.

I know this was reported--new droid called out for first time had 20% resists and second plus times had 40% resists with one level 6 armor module installed.

I think they scheduled this for publish 8, not 7.

I tried it a bit (oh does my spatial look funny or what...) and I'm more confused than before. Treid on both R3 and probot.

It's not a character a limit. I tried up to 12 letters without any problems.

What it seems to be is a name filter.

Luke worked, but Chewbacca and Han doesn't. Neither does Guardian, which was the name I was originially intending it to have.

You can use '-' just fine, as long as you don't try and include a forbidden word (Guardian-PB wouldn't work either).

Someone else confirm and see if it's repeatable or just my... something, acting up?

A couple things that are bugging me.

Customization to droid trim does not seem to be staying. I tried this numerous times on a friends droid and once it was stored and recalled the trim customization was gone. Main body color is fine.

Additionally aside from what has been posted about the resists jumping from 20-40% - I like it

I compared an R3 with a Probot- both advanced models with high end components and experimentation. The Probot came out with a total combat rating of 407 and the R3 came out with a total combat of 490 (makes sense so far since the R3 can hold 2 combat socket clusters). The issue for me was that eventhough the Probot had significantly less HAM than the R3, it's attack speed was slightly faster as was its damage output. Shouldn't the droid with the highest combat rating do the most damage? Something about it just doesn't seem right to me.

Don't forget (if you're reading this far) to check the "Hot Topics!" sticky at the top.

Some of the stuff I'm seeing reported here is explained in more detail in the links inside the "Hot Topics!" thread.

I cannot change the color of chassis when crafting droids anymore. also I have had my customers complaining that their droids have be changing color every time they pull them out (R2 units).

forgot to add in that I can put service modules in Combat Clusters, and vise versa. Also the schematic says Combat Capable Module for just about every droid, instead of Service Module.

The Combat Ratings seem to be totally separate between each chassis. If Droid_01 had a max combat rating of 100 but did the most damage out of all droids, and Droid_02 had a max combat rating of 600 but did the least damage out of all droids, that is ok. The Combat Ratings are used in conjuction with the chassis type in some formula to determine the final droids damage output. But an R3's Combat Rating and damage output cannot be straight compared with a Probot's Combat Rating and damage output....it's an apple and orange comparison.

2. A 'Failure' on a combat module decreased the mechanism quantity while increasing the Combat Rating.

Confirmed. Saw this 3 times last night, twice on Failures and once on a Moderate Success (?!).

Failures have always given strange results when they affect multiple attributes. I've seen the same with my old CDEFs where a failure would increase the damage, but decrease the speed, etc.

Take a hard look at droid armor.... 2 module 4's are the exact same as 2 module 6's!

It's always been that way, man. There's nothing here to really 'look at'...

2 Level 4s should give the same result as 1 Level 6. 2 Level 6s aren't needed, so you'll be wasting them if you put in 2.

1) It's been said, and I thought it was taken care of, but then I read it wasn't. Chassis colorization. I don't CARE if we're getting some sort of display situation in patch 8. THIS ISN'T PATCH 8 so it shouldn't have been removed yet.

2) Made an Adv Probot all post-patch. 1 lvl 6 storage, 2 lvl 4 armor, 5 combat modules (3 in combat cluster). Got 103+ CR on each of the modules and it's doing 120+ damage. I guess that's okay. HAM was above 950. But, contrary to what some people are saying here,on the initial "tame" it showed as 40% resist no armor. CL 13. My non CH friend pulled it out just fine, but not with her pet.

3) Dismiss on a talkie droid doesn't destroy it. Well, at lest it didn't before this patch. People said it did and when I tried it (I didn't care if I lost the LE Repair Droid I had) it just stored it. If it's destroying droids now, that's probably a problem.

4) Service modules in combat clusters: read the description of the item. This is normal behavior. As for the reverse, logic would tell you it's not normal behavior, but I haven't tried so can't comment firsthand. Sounds wrong if it works.

5) Astromechs accepting combat modules: I'm filing this as strangeness because the devs must have been on crack when they did this. They're not combat droids. Stop making our profession a sick, pathetic joke.

dont know if this is a bugg or a strangeness but im crafting adv R3 droids with 2combat clusters (full combat mudules) modules and 2 armour modules and EVERY time i assemble i have a crit fail is it because the R3 in this configuation is bugged? because of CL? my regular R3's are 1500+ ham and with the combat module does this put it over the limit? if so this needs to be corrected also the ADV probot is only in the 900 ham range but acepts all 5 combat modules this cant be rite can it? the ham on both should be the sameas well as the combat modules or is it just me?

Hmmm, I'm thinking you're just having an increadible strain of bad luck (seems to hit us all at some point or anoher)... I've been making those R3's no problem.
