While crafting a Protocol spambot, i forgot to make an adv droid brain and so back paged to the main menu (after i had inserted all the other modules/ resources). Now normally I've had the resources simply return to my inventory when i do this, but while crafting this droid, the adv protocol chasis i had made and colored dissappeared!!! gone from inventory!! I had to make a new one. Has anyone experianced this yet? Has it happened with the default chasis coloring? Any one else unluckly?

The only time I've lost stuff when I paged back during a crafting session is when I didn't realize that my inv was too full to accept back all the stuff that I'd already put into the schematic. (It's enormously frustrating -- I've made this stupid mistake several times and lost stuff that took me a long time to assemble.)

Haven't tried the specific crafting thing you were doing, though. Are you sure your inv wasn't overflowing?

I kinda ran into this scenario.

I had a full inventory, so I started putting components on the ground and then picking them up whileI was crafting. This allowed me to use the item and free the inventory spot immediately. Well I found that I was missing a Manipulator arm package and decided to go back to make one, however I did not have the space in my inventory to do so, The message was "You do not have enought room for [component] the component will be lost." and all of my components were destroyed.

I had to start over again.

So create crates of the stuff......

I removed this as a sticky but I put it into the "Hot Topics!" thread for Publish 8.

SOCKET and CLUSTER help

I have been making a few custom order droids and had the same problem as many other people. General socket clusters with for example 3 entertainer effects DO NOT fit into the slot for generic socket clusters in the R droids. BUT combat clusters do. Make your entertainer and other utility modules into combat capable clusters and they fit.

Hope that helps.

Make your clusters for the type of chassis you use - COMBAT capable chassis need COMBAT clusters, NON-combat capable chassis need STANDARD clusters.

Combat capable chassisdo NOT appear to take standard clusters with no combat modulesin their combat capable cluster sockets, even though combat capable chassis WILL take non-combat components in their regularcombat capable service harness slots.

So make, and stock, and crate combat and standard clusters with the SAME components depending on what chassis you THINK you will be filling orders for.

Stupid but true - stock different clusters with the SAME components.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."
