Thread: Publish 7 (Droid Invasion): Please report any/all bugs or 'strangeness' here ONLY!! (03/16/04)
I am a non-droid engineer, and when i tried to use Reconstruction Kits, (to repair droid wounds) it saidi had to be a DE.
Dont know if its meant to work this way or not. I thought these kits were gonna be like pet stimpacks....
Havent tried the Repair Kits yet, wonder if they are the same?
I need someone to verify this, please...

Respectfully,
Armor got nerfed, from AR2 40% resists to AR0 20% resists. It was a semi-stealth nerf, as a lot of DE's knew about it a couple days before the patch went live, but the general SWG public had no clue.

I'm not understanding this armor thing. I made an R2 and and R3, packed with combat modules, and each with a level 6 armor module. These guys have nice HAM and decent attack, but show NO ARMOR. How can that be, with an L6 armor module?
Getting into combat, the R3 fights fine, but apparently without any armor (even though armor was crafted in), his HAM dropped alarmingly fast.
Please explain -- this has to be a bug, when armor crafted in does not show up in the final product. Or is there some other kind of reason / result here that I cannot fathom. I'm not feeling good about selling any of these droids until I can tell the customers the whole story.

Respectfully,
Cofirmed TK. I gave my new combat R3, a droid repair kit, and a reconstruction kit to a non-DE friend. He could use the Droid Repair Kits no problem but he could not use the reconstruction kits. Not sure if that's a bad thing or not personally...
He brought up two other very good points/bugs as well:
1. "Repair Droid" or even just "Repair" does not show up on the radial menu when you have repair kits and a damaged droid.
2. There is no system message telling you, "You can now repair a droid again" after the heal/repair delay.
The first one is not a biggie really, second one I'd consider a bug.

Thanks,
I think I can probably answer this for you. Maximum defensive stats for a droid are now AR 0, 20% Resists to all. And that IS with a lvl 6 armor module. The fact that it's showing up as 40% resists even is a bug, but the outcry from all us DEs for the droids having NO armor with lvl 6 modules has been pretty big. I'm hoping at a MINIMUM that we get up to 40% resists, but I'd be even happier if they'd give us even a LIGHT armor rating back with a lvl 6 module.
The intent was to make droids more in line with other CL10 pets, as most (if any?) don't have any armor at all. It's more of a result of the game systems than any sort of logic ![]()

A confirmation on the 40%resists on the second pull from DataPad:
I have made various probots and r3's, some with two AR6modules and some with only 1AR6module,
and both types result in the same thing, upon selecting the "Ready Droid Unit" from the radial
off of the droid deed the Droid will have 20% resists. When I bring out the droid a second time
i get 40% resists accross the board.
And this goes for both the 2 armor module droids and the 1 armor module droids. This had to
be a bug doesn't it?
Actually, it doen't matter what level module you use. I had the same thing happen with level 3 modules. 12% reisists on initial call, and 40% after calling once it's been stored.
Too bad, it was probably the one cool thing to happen to the "combat" droids, and now I'm sure it'll get fixed.
Could we please add to the droid issues thread the fact that astromechs don't accept non-combat clusters?
Thanks,
Everyone keeps talking about a 600 max cap combat rating for adv p bots, derived from 2 combat cluster modules. I cannot see how this is possible, being as how my schematic shows 1 slot for the combat cluster, and 2 slots for unclustered modules. I cannot insert clusters in any but the one combat cluster slot, for a total of 5 modules total. Is this intended? Everyone says 6 modules in 2 clusters, but i just don't have the option on the schematic. i have also been having the general cluster problems as all the others have been having,
Also i have been having some goofy experimentation results, ie amazing successes resulting in lower combat ratings, etc. It's almost like the craft nerf is still being applied to droids. Using materials over 950, i can't get above 77 combat rating, or above about 80% on experimentation, although all bars on quality are yellow and maxed out across the window, ie no room for experimentation if better minerals were used.
Anyone else getting this?

I have the exact same problem! I spent about 10 minutes last night thinking I was doing something wrong, but I could not change the name of my Advanced Probot.
Glad to hear I wasn't alone.
