Although I am human, I am in a position of responsibility. There is no way that what I posted last night was proper or can be justified. If I had DELETE and LOCK capabilities I would have done so myself.

Here is the reason why I finally lost it. Again it is no excuse for posting what I did, but it is the reason. Since the probot nerf I have not had more than 50k cr in my bank account. I was looking forward to mounts for so long -- and then to get slapped in the face and laughed at because I offered my 50k cr for a BABY mount not even trained .. well I lost it.

Truth is I may not have laughed at the person, but if I could sell a droid for up to 500k cr I suppose I would.

So anyhow, I apoligize to you all. Even if you dont think it is needed, I definitely do. As it stands right now I am considering retiring from my position. There are many many factors as to why I will and not one of them has to do with SOE. In fact the reason why I have held on so long is because of THs work and what I see coming down the road.

I know you all support me and dont want to see me go. I appreciate that support. Please do not turn this thread into "please stay" sintrosi thread because the factors which would influence my decision to leave have nothign to do with your support.

If I have to retire you all would be in good hands because there are a few of you that would do as good if not better job than I. Iwill mull it over and give it serious thought before I make a decision. Be assured that it will be a smooth transition if I do. I wont just up and quit , leaving you guys in the lurch.

But regardless, I apoligize once more. It will nothappen again, with a blue name or not.

You need to stop apologizing. Your 'statement' really did lay out the feelings of most every DE that I know of currently.

If you have to resign, I understand...and Godspeed.

No reason to apoligize we all need to blow some steam. I was one of them as well. You have been the hardest working and most thoughtful Correspondent. If you decide to leave you will be missed greatly.

Sin, you are human, and sometimes the pot just boils over. A lot of us have boiled over with this latest shaft.

If you do decide to leave, I'll be sorry to see you go. Whoever takes your place has big shoes to fill. I don't pretend to know your reasons, but I'm sure they are valid.

I'm just suprised you didn't post a similar thread sooner! Seriously the DEVs need to get their heads out of their asses and start making some changes for the better.

It gets very frustrating when you do your job as best you can and the people above you just shrug your work off and go on to other things.

No need to apologize to us Sintrosi. We all feel your pain too. I/we understand how upseting it is.

For those of us that have been here since launch, and for those that have come in the later months we feel the exact same way about the state of the profession.

As for stepping down from the corrospondent position I will hate to see it happen but understand no matter what your decision you will have my full support.

Sometimes, we all need to blow off steam to people who will be sympathetic. The thing is, because of the official boards, there are really no decent other places for DE's to talk to each other. So, I don't blame you for rantingj a bit.

I had a good patch day myelft - my guild, working with 2 others, managed to get a city hall placed. (And to those of you who had cities planned, and worked as hard as we did, but not get one, I am truely sorry, and hope that the cap is soon lifted.) I was so busy doing that, moving my shop, etc, that I didn't really notice the CH averice. But in looking at the CH brag threads, etc, I can see why you got so upset.

I could see your thread getting locked on the main boards, but I think that once in a while, we need a rant thread. It allows for the blowing off of steam.

In any case, Sintrosi, while I do indeed hope you stay and continue the excellent job that you have been doing, I completely understand that one has to do what one has to do.

You are a human being Sintrosi, and have stayed calm and positive when many, including myself, would have thrown in the towel.

There is no need for an apology, you only said what most, if not all, of us think and feel. Very well said too!!

It's a shame you weren't on Gorath or I could have dragged you out to do missions for cash or gladly given you a baby and trained it as a mount when it was old enough for free.

If there is anyone on Eclipse willing to step up and help you with the mount situation it would be appreciated from the whole DE community I wouldthink.

As for an apology there is no need. Everyone has bad days and the fact is you're a person not a droid which is probably a good thing At least you work <G>

My preference would be to see you stay as the DE correspondant but I will also say that you need to do what's right for you.

Exactly, you simply said what we all feel. No need to apologize. You have represented us well, but if it getting to the point where you aren't having fun perhaps it is time to move on. SOE is not paying you to work for them, if its causing stress to you, you may want to consider telling them to shove it.

Having said that, I hope you stay...but will understand if you decide to step down.

Some further clarification:

I will remain until January 2004 at least, by choice if they dont retire us by then. I will clarify that the main reason I will consider leaving by then is I am going back to school.

I dont know if any of you are Computer/Electrical engineers but I have a degree in ECE and will be going back to get my masters in, of all things, robotics and nueral networking. It is probably one of the hardest disciplines to go to school for so I may or may not have much time.

It all depends on my up front work load. So you will all be stuck with me for at least a few more months and then we will see from there.

I can only echo what my fellow DE's have already said Sin. Although I dont post as much as some, I do read most posts and I appreciate the hard work you have been putting in. It would be a shame for you to go because of this if nothing else.What you posted earlier, as others have said, is how we all feel, every now and then, at least. If you were on my server I'd buy you a mount, if only we could tip across servers
