So how do you REALLY feel about the profession? Come on, don't be shyI'm not quite following you?
will i make it to master...my heart says dont let it beat you...my brain says stuff it.
Hang in there budWe made it, so can you!

Thank you, padawan Droidster! My appreciation.
One bit of advice: If you want to master DE just to beat it and your heart says "bag it", you should (unless you're holo'ing). There's even more logistics when you get this high! lol However, I hope you hang in and love droids! Craft on!
Welcome to being a Droid Engineer . . . But wait! There's more! You can also join the Droid Engineer Message Board "Community" by doing the following:
1. Whining.
2. Forgetting the fact that if every droid problem was fixed today, then statements such as "I was a droid engineer since Beta 1" would mean about as much as shouting "Hey! I need some attention!"
3. Learning sarcasm. It's the language spoken here.
4. Being sure to call correspondents, liasons, designers and et al, "liars", "traitors", and general ne'er do wells.
5. And the MOST important: DEMAND that you get a high level, DE only droid . . . and then swear up and down that you only want to make a "living" supplying droids to other players (and you only want to "test" droidekas! LOL)
Do these things, and you'll fit right in here! But, if you want to make some droids, have some fun, and maybe make a credit or two . . . you came to the wrong place.

Glad we agree! There's so many better positive ways to express our opinions
It seems by your register date you are new, so I'll excuse your lack of knowledge of how we got to this place.
Many of us who have been DE's since the game went live or before expressed our opinions in "positive" ways for months and months while we bought into the "you are the priority!" line.
After the third or fourth time we were re-broken and our game brought to a screeching halt (like when they made all droids permadeath, which meant 1-2 shots for most droids destroyed them, FOREVER), you tend to get jaded.
This forum used to be a happy, positive place - but if you get slapped across the face enough your attitude changes.
By coming in and insulting those that have been here longer than you based on your limited knowledge of the situation you show no positivity whatsoever - simply ignorance.

My friend,
You don't know when I actually started reading these boards( hint: it's been about 9 months). You know when I actually registered with this scheme where "you must be a subscriber to discuss our game".

"you tend to get jaded" . . .
Get jaded all you want. Live in the past and lick all your old wounds you want. Nobody who means anything really wants to hear it -- it's time to move forward.
If you feel insulted by by remarks, I would suggest you re-evaluate your own numerous comments and motivations for playing this game.
I say I have to agree with AudioOrgano. You tend to become jaded and sarcastic when you hear a lot of fast talk and don't see any results, when you see everyone else getting hot fixed but a profession breaking bug takes a week to get fixed, when your biggest bugs take 8 months to fix, when your best seller gets nerfed to oblivion.....man, should I even go on?
I love to build droids, but if I don't have a place to ventyour only other alternative is to quit. To see people trying to sugar coat all the crap we have been drug through since launch is disgraceful to people that have been a DE since day one. Trying to make it sound like we are bitter with no reason is plain disrespectful and shows you have no understanding of what we have gone through. Sure, you can say "Hey, we got attention now", but until it actually shows on live a lot of us are going to be in the 'seeing is believing" camp.
I have to agree with AudioOrgano too..I also love to build droids and have ben a DE for along time. But I have had it with SOE and refuse to pay any more of my hard earned cash and have quit. My account expires in 2 weeks and I'm actually looking forward to it.

Nobody has "drug" anybody thru anything! Got it? No? Here it is again: NOBODY HAS DRUG ANYBODY THRU ANYTHING! This is such a common misconception. You choose to PLAY or NOT to play.
Who is the demon that is telling you that since this game has a "Star Wars" name on it that you have the right to purchase it and enjoy it as though it was a cheap plastic toy?
