Thread: Droid Commander after JTL
Haden said that Droid Commander is due out after JTLS and that the whole dev team wants Droid Commander to happen. They want us to have those Battle Droids and Super Battle Droids."
Well I think I've definately changed my vote
. By all accounts, 'shortly' after the release of JTL, we're going to have all our old classic droids plus all the publish 8 additions, astromechs (which will be MASSIVELY popular) and now combat droids. yey!
That's quite a market and speaks volumes for the dedication (and stamina) of the DE community, we've rode out a year of bad times and the future's very bright indeed.
/congrats to all who saw out '03 as DE's and /hello to all those who have braved the gauntlet of factory runs to join us. Bravo! ![]()

This is again ourchance to come up with some ideas and revise them to show the devs what WE want!
There thave been some GREAT proposals passed around (I beleave the most resent are in my sig) if the devs want to do it lets lets help them do it maby our ideas can make it in the game. Then when its done we can stand back and say we had a hand in that maby a small one, but we helped shape it!
please wright up your ideas &make your siggestions its the only way you can be heard
look through the ideas in my sig if you like them /sign them
Fix the bugs that are here since launch and
fix the bug that have been added since launch, especially the one on the last added modules.
On the droid commender idea, They said they wouldn't add any prof without adding skill points, so either they get rid of the Master artisan dependancies, or they increase the skill points.
I didn't saw a Master CH in months.

Respectfully,
This was no surprise, I think most of us have assumed since the moment it was taken off-track that it would resurface post-JTL.

This is the responce we get after time and time again we said we didn't want DH. Then SOE pulls it like a child saying you can't have any battle droids unless you take DH with it. So now here it is at a FanFest event they announce once again its will be back after JTLS?
I will never make a battle droid for a DH profession...if you want droids for starships i will make. But don't be looking into my shops for BD's for a DH.

I must say, having been an old time droid engineer (before droid invasion!), i'm very ashamed for this profession that you are embracing the idea of a "Droid handler". Back in the day, this would have elicited screams, and, as TH learned (though seems to have forgotten), we DIDN'T WANT DROID HANDLERS (commander sounds more techie, but its the same thing). What brought about this change?
If you had followed these forums for the 6-8 months before the droid invasion came out, you'd know that myself and many others were against the DH/DC, and boy did we scream against it, as I did most vehemently. And why the change?
We all (most) did want powerful combat droids in the game, and suggested all kinds of different ways to get them into the game.
And what answer did it take the devs so many months to get to?
We will only get them with a new profession.
I was a DE before you even learned about the nuts and bolts of life, crankshafts and the myriad of uses forZypolene droid lube. When I entered this profession way long ago, I wanted some decent combat droids that could be effective in high level combat. Since they said there was never going to be a way to give them without a new profession, I whored out my guy from DE so I could become a more effective memeber of the GCW community. And now, by God I'll take powerful combat droids in any way I can get them, and if a DH/DC is the only way, I'll do it.
So you malcontents can just stick it up your ASYMPTOTE! Yeah, that's right. Your asymptote.
Now for some perspective, listen to the sound poem Karawane writtenby the Dadaist Hugo Ball.
