Thread: Droid Experimentation Broken Yes or No??

Hi everyone


Im fairly new to Droid Engen and was asking a few friends in game about DE skill mods/tapes.. They said that DE Exp is broken. Is this a correct statement???

No, it's not broken. As a matter of fact, it is the most useful skill enhancement available for Droid Engineers. The only thing is there are few droid components that take advantage of Experimentation.

Thats still DE Experimentation. +20 in tapes will get you an extra 2 experimentation points, but there just isn't a whole lot to experiment on.

the question really is when are they going to make anything other than efficiency worth a damn.

Assembly does not add experimentation points, but it does decrease the chances of a crafting failure. What I am unclear on is what skill (Assembly or Experimentation) affects getting an Amazing Success during experimentation.

Hmm... As Crafting Master (4414) I start with great successes.


Have yet to see any failure *hehe*

Just checked my total numbers:


I'm a human.


DroidAssembly Bonus: 36


Droid Experimentation Bonus:11


Total number of experimentation points: 11


If 10 experimentation gives the +1 then it's ok.

Guess i need to find some piece that gives +9

To back up what the others are saying.


For every +10 points of Experimentation, you get one more exp point.

So +20 DE exp gives you 2 more points, so at master you are 12 points.


Assembly doesn't give more points, it just gives you a better shot at amazing sucesses. There is some evidence pointing that Amazing sucesses give you a little bit better final product.


The downside to both Exp and Assembly for a DE is that it doesn't really matter on most of our products. Most things turn out the same no matter what, and on the things Exp does matter on, you can max it out with 10 points.

This information is incorrect. + Experimentation is the only stat that adds to Experimentation points. Best not to post if you do not know, some newer players might not know the difference between good information and bad.
