Thread: Why is my droid such a battery hog now?
seriously, when are you guys going to be able to customize droids?
Ask the dev's...
But for now we'll have to be happy with an evolved version of Pokémon.
now for the questions:
Are the storage mods reliable, and what is the max on them?
How many droids can you have in your data pad?
and for the sake of consolidation my questions are
1) why are the droids battery hogs now?
2) when are the devs going to give the DEs cool droids?
3) customization? how does it work
4) best combat droid?
5) /\ already on this post
6) ditto
thanks alot guys.
The customization works so that we can change color on the droid, some have one color and others have two, that's about it... I colored my friends R2 in R2-D2 theme the other day. But it's not always that it sticks and it don't stay for long.
About batteries, that's the way it is. They are eating batteries now, hopefully this will be tweeked later.
Hmmm, Edit button would be nice.
Storage can hold 10 items, either with one lvl6 or two lvl4 modules.
You can have a maximum of 5 droids in your datapad, and 1 out at a time.
Battery usage nerf is exactly what I came for as well. It's pretty amazing. Every person on every board all the time every day is begging for droid improvements, and the answer was to triple battery consumption and leave everything else broken, except for a "fix" to customization that makes it so you color your droid for about 13 minutes or until you store him, whichever comes first. There's responsiveness for you.
I rarely rant about this game, but this is just **edit**ing ridiculous. Is there any profession that gets such universal support in the cry for fixes? I don't think so. Is there any game change more frequently requested than improvement to droids? Negative. So let's nerf power usage. Yeah that makes great **edit**ing sense.
Battery consumption was not changed.
What was changed was that there used to be a bug that caused droids to be fully recharged when stored and called. That bug was fixed, so now droids are using batteries like they were supposed to have been all along.
Are they using too many? That's a different question. Yes, I'd say that the consumption rate is too high. 1 charge per hour would be a lot more reasonable than the current 20-ish minutes.
Kollos, I guarantee you that is not correct. I use a probot all the time, every battle, everywhere, constantly.
As of this week my battery consumption is up three times as high. Not after storing, I'm talking in battle.
I could put him against a lair or two without storing before recharging. Now I can barely put him against a creature or two.
It HAS changed, and for the worse.
That's very odd, because my Probot is behaving just like it has ever since the last major patch (when they patched the recharge-upon-store bug).
Furthermore, the amount of time I'm currently seeing jives with the amount oftime that a friend of mine was getting out of his droid when he used it continuously before that patch.
I don't use mine to fight much, though... I mostly bring it along as an escort. I would have to do some experimenting to determine whether or not combat use of a droid increases its battery consumption rate, but THAT might have changed and I wouldn't have noticed it.
