I am a 12 pt. DE (+122 Droid Experimentation) as of last night when I paid *cough* 2.5 million for +8 skill tapes.

There are only a few things that the extra points make a big difference on, but it's nice to have the extra points if you get a moderate success or something. I don't do combat, so I have to spend my money on something, anyway.

12 point +125 experimentation in DE and 12 point Master Artisan as well. I wish the extra points had more meaning in our profession but hey we can't have everything

I am not a Jedi, because everyone else is....

Became a MDE just before publish 8 and brought Exp tapes cheap then and became a 12 pts MDE almost as soon as I hit master. I play on Chimera and use some of the best resources on the server.

12pts in my view are worth having when u can make survey droids with 9 uses and 92 quality only cause u have them extra points. Same goes for a few other modules. I do know what you mean though about the 12pts seeming to be less useful than in another crafting proffession (like chef).
