Thread: What other non DE skills do you have
Hey guy, here's my skills at the moment
Artisan (master) (I used to hoard modules. NowI don't have to beg artisans for parts)
Droid engineer (1-2-0-3) (I used towatch lots of mecha anime, and always wanted to go into robotics...)
Medic (2-1-0-4) (...but somehow, I ended up a chemist and I'm making chemicals even in games)
Marksman (0-4-0-3) (Shooting stuff is fun, even though I use/burstrun the most)
Scout (2-0-4-2) (I was going for bio engineer to make my army ofcute bunnies/vir vur)
Pistoleer (novice) (I watch lots of HK action cinema too)
Merchant (0-0-3-0) (Because hot twilek girl vendors obviously sell more, need to hit hiring 4, hehe...)
Yeah so it seems like alot of non related skills, but that's just because I trained in whatever skills I was able to train, with the intention of dropping them whenI started pushing on my limits and wanted to get more specialized skills.
So now that I'm at my limits, I feel like trying other classes. I quit trying to get creature handler since I heard Droid engineers will get the ability to get additional droids out later. I was playing Halo the other day and thought it would be cool to have a rocket launcher. Yes, maybe I should go for commando. I thought smuggler would be neat too, just so I can slice my own stuff. or maybe Teras Kasi artist (I see lots of TKM doing Bruce Lee one-punch-KO), or fencer to go with pistoleer (come on, shaolin cowboy...)
I was thinking I can probably master any of those otherclasses and still manage to drop them before I hit Master Droid Engineer (I get about 10k xp a day in droid engineer from making droids for sale in vendors, means I'll be MDE in like... 3 months). Yeah, I know I can sit and grind and hit MDE, but I'm in no hurry, besides, going at it slowly gives me more skills points to play with. (People learnmany skills in life, but in the star wars galaxy, people have real short memories)
Lets see here
Master Droid Engineer
Master Artisan
Scout 4000
Marksman 0040
Medic 0040
And thats it lol =( Im looking for some new stuff..
I've got master DE, master medic, and (soon to be) master doc.
I will say don't let the slower pace of not grinding drag you down, thats how I went at it and it really does help you understand the profession more as well as help you keep your sanity.
Master Artisan
Master DE
Marksman 0-4-0-3
Pistoleer 0-0-1-0
Scout 3-0-3-3
Medic 0-0-0
I hope to make Master Pistoleer someday. Though ill be selling off my remaining scout and medic to get there. and I would like to drop Master Artisan someday. It would be nice to just have someone drop 1000 emm/gps/control units/micro sennsors every couple weeks. Its too costly for me to do right now. But first and foremost im a DE. I have another character on Naritus im chasing the holo with who I created not to get attached to his profession.
Master Droid Engineer
Master Weaponsmith
Master Artisan
Marksman 3/0/0/2
And no holocron is going to make me drop them after all the time i put in to them.
Needless to say, I dont fight well. But at least I make the best weapons possible for myself ![]()
Oops for got to add to above post
Merchant 3/0/0/0, which is a must to get your merchants listed on the planetary map.
Master droid engineer
Master Artisain
Merchant 1-1-1-2
Medic 0-0-2-0
Forget what else i have.
I rotate a bit. The following are my two most recent configurations
#1: Master Artisan / Master Droid Engineer / Master Merchant / Architect 4-2-1-3
#2: Master Artisan / Master Droid Engineer / Master Architect / Merchant 3-4-0-4
I'm considering trying a bit of politican soon.My planned profile is:
#3: Master Artisan / Master Droid Engineer / Master Merchant / Architect 3-0-0-0 / Politician 4-0-0-0
Recently, I've noticed that I can hold my own in a PvE fight despite having no combat class at all. With a maxed-out probot, a Republic Blaster, decent armor (including PSG), some emergency buff spice, and careful use of max range limits I can handle reds (which is almost everything) without taking much damage (tho my poor probot suffers a bit). I still keep my vehicle nearby in case I need a quick getaway, but I'm very pleased to feel that I can deal with whatever mobs are lurking around my harvesters when I have to.
Currently...
MDE
Merchant 4/4/4/4 (Need 100 AP for Master)
Master Artisan
Architect 0/4/4/1
I have about 9 SP left which will go to Master Merchant and probably the Housing line of Architect...
I used to have a good bit of the Scout tree complete, but gave it up in favor of the crafting professions. I kept Novice so that I could harvest resources from creatures if I really need to. I worked through to Two-Handed IV in the Brawler tree - again for hunting and defense. Been Novice Medic for a while, just in case I need to stitch myself up (slowly!) out in the field.
So, kind of a balanced mix, but a DE and crafter at heart!
Master Droid Engineer, but the question was what non DE skills, so :
Master Artisan
Master Swordsman. although I use a hammer....
Novice scout, exploration 1
