I am the only one who's annoyed that so many DEs areresisting the idea ofthe arrival of combat droids?

I want to make robotic weapons of war. If you don't want into this market, that's OK - don't get involved. But don't try to make it less capable for the rest of us simply because you don't want to see protocol droids be able to be armed with blasters...

Besides, the existing non-combat droids need upping in capacity for combat situations themselves. So the devs focusing on droids in combat situations, even ones that aren't shooters themselves, is a good thing.

Personally, I'm not resisting the arrival of **new** combat droids. I'd love for there to be other models, like Droidekas or whatnot. I'm just very worried about the Dev's welding CDEF weapons to R2's dome thinking that's their solution to this problem. Do you see that problem?

Hehe very well put.

In fact the word BUG was introduced into the computer lingo because (if my computer history is correct) actualy living bugs were causing computers way in the days when they were the size of a large room, would cause the computers to malfunction.

would I love to have a droid fighting for me? yes. but I can fight well enough alone (I resisted the charms of that vile CH profession; I will resist the wiles of combat droids). I'm not a DE, although I've watched your forums and sympathized with you since the game started. my love of starwars was in large measure due to my love of the robotic "odd couple". I want to see droids make our gaming life easier, so we can do more combat. I want to have a droid that frees up the hour or more of my time that I currently spend doing harvestor runs. or survey droids to survey, or a courier droid, or a myriad or other things they could do for us besides fight. I want to be able to Name my droids with numbers, and name my "talkie" droids as well. I want the LE repair droid to repair. I want more Droid/PC interaction. these are more important to me than a metal tank is.
