Thread: How important is Master Artisan to a DE?
I do hate to be the bearer of bad tidings honey but...
Master artisan is pretty important to DE ![]()
Let me give you an example: I recently did (another) run of 50 surgical droids; they're only standard R2's with a level 6 med module; a level 6 storage module and a chem crafting station. For just 50 droids, you need 318 electronic GP's; 530 Electronic Memory Modules and 53 Control units, all of which are Master Artisan. You can get someone else to make you 1000 unit schematics but you'd have to do it for every major run of droids you ever build which is gonna get pretty frustrating. The decision as they say, is yours ![]()
Hope I haven't ruined you day flower (some crabbit muppet's made a good job of spoiling mine on the forums today
)

I am stuck in a similar situation, withhaving to give up master artisan to finish TKA (because I also want to keep my novice medic in tact). So what I was going to do was make a lot of the components I anticipate that I will need for my DE, which I've already mastered. I am also fortunate to have another MA in my Guild to help me. But if you don't have that luxury, then making as much as you can in advance may help you.
I would make schematics of the two electronics modules so you can make factory crates of them and the same with the control units. There are a few others under the electronic portion for MA that you will need too, off hand I can't remember unless I'm in-game to look at it.
Hope this helps you.
I would recommend you take Master Artisan and learn the ins and outs and get a feel for what you are doing, learn the runs you'll need. When you feel comfortable, drop Artisan if you choose.
Being new to DE without Artisan would just suck.
Also, you'll probably be paying more, one way or the other, having someone else do it for you.
Use common ressources or stock them.
Just make loads of shematics and save them.
Then, you can drop Master artisan without a problem.
Good advice is to wait to have some good DE skills before dropping Master artisan.
