Just like SOE. Your supposed to rise up to some ones level not the other way, well in a perfect world any how.

I agree with the way it's set up now. The droid is there to protect low level PCs, and a handy (or handier, at least) tool with higher level groups now. I wish the combat droids were more dynamic, but it's a good balance for a level 18 pet.

I want to encourage every DE to /bug report this. I was using a Probot with 5 combat modules (530 Combat Rating) level 18 against a Fanned Rawl level 8. The droid had almost 3 times the HAM but only did 40 points damage with everyshot and took 147 points damage twice for every shot it got off. I had to stand behind it hitting droid stims. Tiggs mentioned that Combat Droids would be more effective now, but my droids use to take these creatures out pretty fast. Maybe I'll start a website called www.TiggsLied.com

I haven't shared your experience. I have been working towards novice commando and novice carbineer the last few evenings with my CL 18 combat adv R3 I made myself back in the days.

It has made the hunt enjoyable, smooth and fast enough for me to like the semi solo thing. On about 4-5 occasions I have accidentally gotten aggroed by 2 mobs at the same time, me being CL 13-14 at the time and the opponents 14-15. While I was laying incapped my trusty Buzz has dispatched the mobs with ease while I was taking a nap.

Oh, and as a tip I seem to be getting much more xp if I am not grouped with my droid hunting like this (too bad I was grouped for 80% of the time).

That is weird. Maybe there's a certain circumstance that the bug appears. Because for me, ungrouped, my probot tears low level stuff apart w/o a scratch. Maybe grouping and ungrouping makes it so it still thinks its grouped? Might be a good test.

From what testing has been done, Pet (droid) levle does not actually change when grouped. It may LOOK like it does, but it doesn't. This is part of what CH's are unhappy about.

Test it, group your Probot, see how much damage he takes and deals, then group it and see how much damage he takes and deals. It shouldn't change. If his level really did change, it would change.

I think the problem lies more with the fact that some mobs, such as levle 4 Durnies are not working properly and are much tougher then they should be.

Sorry to ask, *giggle* but what is a combat Droid? That Probot-looking Nuna-Pusher?

I stil hope for the Petuser-Profession "Droid Commander"...

I had a similar probot that almost got killed by a vynock last night, one thing I can say, auto heal modules work a lot faster
