Heya, all...

So, I want to make sure that I'm putting forth a question that you all are burning to get an answer on.

In that light, I'm putting up this poll to request that every add one short question.

Note: Huge diatribes or rants will be not be acceptable, so please try to have your suggested question get straight to the heart of the issue on which you want an answer. Putting forth a question withrespect and insight will give it the best chance of a good answer.

Example question: "The DE community and non-DEs alike feel that naming ALL droids is an important aspect of their use. They make droid's a personal thing (as they should be). Can we get the naming of ALL droids to be a priority for work before the release of Space?"

I'll compile the results and give a Top 5 on Mon/Tues., then we can have a vote on those to see what the question will be.

Thanks in advance...(/emote goes back to setting up yet another factory run.)

I don't know why...but that one sounds good to me.

I had someone in particular in mind when I wrote it.

Question: I/we applaud the HAM revamp for Combat droids, but was wondering why HAM wasnt revamped for all models of droid to have uniform and consistent values? e.g. an LE Repair Droid now has 6000 max HAM and an advanced Binary Load Lifter still has 1300.

I know this one isn't really pressing, but I wanted to put up a question that has the potential for a meaningful answer apart from "I'll ask the Devs" or "I'll try to fit it into the schedule. I'm not saying the questions already are bad, but from reading the 19 Answers each of the last 2 weeks, I'm finding that the limited questions get the best answers.

I'd like help phrasing mine, please.

However, it came up in a recent thread and it would be nice to get a "fresh" statement.

Does Mechanism Quality have any effect in any way/is there any point in experimenting on any subcomponent that only has mechanism quality as a rating?

Or, if you want to go for as quick and easy as possible, you could specify sub-components for chassis. We all believe that there is no stat involved in them and it could be nice to get that officially confirmed, although I suspect many would think it's a waste of a question.

All it does is reduce the chance of crit fails.

I'm pretty sure that's gospel by now.

Most of us don't worry about it, because the frequency (or lack) of critical errors don't make it worth the extra factory time and/or better resources for the stock parts.

Question: When will we see a fix for the 2-1B Surgical Droid holding Item Storage Modules?

Q: Will Droid Engineers (perhaps only Masters even)everhave the ability to have more than 1 droid out at a time? Even 2 droids with 0 Combat Rating at once would be wonderful.

Or how about...

Q: How does the dev team want us to approach the topic of higher level Combat Droids (through Droid Commander or some other system), and please give us specific topics to hammer out.

I believe that the Question about higher level combat droids was asked last time.

Anyway.

My question is the same as jefmes' first one.

Q: Will we ever see more than one droid controlled at a time?

I would like to have our dependance on Master Artisan parts addressed.

Question: Why do we have 41 schematics (and now more with publish 8) that depend on Master Artisan parts, specifically the electronics modules the most? Other crafters do have a dependancy on these parts for specific items, but most will only rarely need these parts every once and a while. I (and the majority of other DE's I know)run electronics module runs in their factories every other day. No other crafters have this kind of dependancy for such a large portion of the items they craft and not have the schematics they need inside their own profession.

I like Master Artisan and all, however, I think our dependancy is still a bit on the extreme side.

Yes, I agree. While naming droids is frickin' annoying at this point, in terms of a true issue this is #1 right next to #2, more than one droid at a time.

The Devs acknowledged long ago that we have an over dependence on another profession, and that either other professions would be given more dependence or we would be given less.

Personally, I'd be happy with them making EMM's and EGP's DE parts and leaving everything else as-is.

1) will we be able to be less dependent on another prof?

2) will we be able to name every droid?

3) will we be able to control more than 1 droid? (i remember the first de on my server had 3 out the first week)

4) will we be getting new droid chassis?... we're the only prof without a new major schem (aside from subcomponents)

I'd have to go with the interdependency question, though I don't think we'll get a very straight answer with it.
