Thread: TK the time has definitely arrived..datapad 5 is not enough

Hello TK


Please send a message to the Devs...we need more than 5 slots in the datapad for droids now..in a big way.


Not only for our own testing purposes..I know we cant test all our droids now because of the skill restrictions, but for demo purposes, and for the experimental testing we can do, we need more than 5 slots, or better still the ability to re-deed droids.


So, what about it hun? Gonna raise your flag on this one?

Amen.


Add a check so that any droids tamed over five cannot contain a item storage module, and it can't be exploited.


DE's need this in a bad way...

heh, with all the crates of parts we have to store....we might as well get a bonus to storage.



Curious though, what happens when a Master CH dropps the profession down to novice? They still have more than the stored pet limit?

This, along with no combat-stats on droids, are really big issues since this patch hit - even more than they were before.


The issues just feed each other - I have to keep room in my datapad to test out droids to be able to sell them properly, which I can't do unless I destoy droids.


At this point, I only have one or two permanent spots in my datapad that I dare store items in - because I'm always destroying droids it seems. I can't tell you the joy at destroying my pre-nerf Probot this week - another spot in the datapad!


We should get +1 droid in each of the blueprints trees, and a bonus +1 at master.


If they can regulate creature pets, they can do it for us. Same goes for two droids out at a time for a MDE - the system needs to make sure that only one droid with a combat rating is allowed at once, or make the modules not function when it would be in "unbalanced" territory. I'm sure it's not a simple, one line code fix - far from it - but it's really becoming essential with the well over a dozen module types we have to deal with at this point.

Yes. Like merchant, you can't change them or get any new ones, but the old ones stay.


However, it doesn't matter how many high-level creatures you have stored - if you can't call them. If someone really wanted to exploit it they'd fill up with cl-10 pets then drop...


In any case, it's something that should be addressed - I am just afraid that if we don't make it a vocal priority it will be overlooked or deemed not worth the bother.


If they'd address the datapad, +2 droids at once, the master artisan dependence, have combat stats show on droids, and let me name my 3PO...man, I'd be a happy DE.

Yes please, please, please can we have a few extra slots. I had to get rid of my beloved Betsy whom I have cherished for many months just so I could activate a probot so I could note the combat stats. While your at it fix that too.

I was just thinking about this as I tried to decide which droid to retire so I could blow up some MSEs.

I agree as well, though I think we'd be more likely to get the ability to re-deed droids before we got more added to our datapad, because checking for droids over 5 with item storage module, that doesn't sound like an existing game mechanic, though re-deeding does - we do it on houses and structures all the time.

Yea...I agree, this is bothersome.


And downright annoying, at times.


I'll move it up the list some when I revise the Top 5 / top 20 issues list. If you want, we can also consider this for the 19 Answers thread this week.



I suspect that adding this change could be a more fundamental change to the pet system...one of those, "Whew! That would be hard/long..." things. /shrug



All we can do is ask and find out. I'll bring it up and report back.

I presume the item storage issue, is why they havnt increased the droid stored, limit already.


The answer, is to limit the total item storage space resulting from data pad objects. Just like the total inventory space is limited, reguardless, how many packs and pouches you have in there.


This would also open up new opportunities for growth. Like BLLs could have 3 lev 6 item storage modules for 30 item storage.(or whatever)The way they have different combat rating caps for different droids (R3 at 600 is only one we can see) ((hmm, maby they are all capped at 600, hmm.)) Well Anyway. It would also be a good thing to have different caps for different droids. Let MSE cap at 3 items or whatever. Let Surgical droids cap at 120 med rating. Etc.


While im here. I would add that power droids need fixing, so at least they dont need charging. Then you could allow an option to put a power core in a cluster socket. That would be in addition to the well known good idea of allowing batteries to drop in item storage mods. Both options alow sacrificing other usefull modules to gain, convienience, or dependability. (od sorts).
