I think that the dev originally though of the binary load lifter as the biggest pack-mule droid we can have.

But... droid storage is fubared right now. Unless someone can confirm that they fixed it like Holo said they were...

I saw my first player crafted Binary load lifter last night on Starsider on Endor. What a huge waste of materials and time for a bot that does nothing

All the worthless bots in this profession make it almost humerous. For that reason, I only craft bots "to-order" no power crafting anymore for me ... its not worth it.

I became a master droid engineer 2 weeks or so ago. Im still wondering what a Binary Load Lifter is suppose to do? Ive yet to hear anybody actually want one too. I mean these guys are giant walking forklifts but they dont do anything. Anyone know anything about them let me know. I play Wanderhome mostly and I don't think most of the resources for th Adv are on there yet. I might build one just to have it but I dont't know what it does.

they do nothing as of yet, except look cool.

be great if they made it so you could use them to pick up Harvester (and do away with the redeed cost if you used a load lifter), but who knows what they have in store

I have a hunch the original design idea was for people to only be able to carry, say, 200 units of each resource, and in order to carry the thousands or so from harvesters, they would need a lifter.

But guess people complained in beta and they raised the limit for people to carry 100000 units *boggle* so now the load lifters became obsolete, as most of the droid units like datapads, storage units, DZ70s, Threadwells, etc.

I seem to remember someone stating they lift boxes of zeros and ones.....

I don't know what they were originally for and i don't know what they will some day be for, but right now i use them for the following:

1. take out BLL droid
2. Set droid to follow random PC (groupmate, guy at the bazaar, whatever)
3. See how long it takes them to figure out that they're being stalked.

It's a cheap thrill, but i still find it entertaining on occassion

I do that with my MSE's. It's always funny to get a /tell from someone demanding you get that &^%$^ droid off of them. I hope this never gets classified as griefing. I think we DE's need some fun in our careers

I am being told by a few people sometime in the future alot of the droids will have uses for them, power droid and the lifters. The Lifters I am hearing you must have one to move a harvester or house or something, I don't really see harvesters but i guess medium on up maybe.
