How many different ones are there. I know of the r units and the dz70. Are there better not now available scematics at higher rank that you cant get as a master droid engineer.

Do those imperial schematics produce anything unique? Or are they indistinguishable from the standard droids?

Thats what im trying to figure out. I know the dz70 costs like 6000 faction points so they better be hella good.

Am I missing something? I have the dz70 schematics and I did not purchase them with faction points. They are not worth jack btw so save those points.

Hmm has anyone noticed that the faction point costs for droid schematics seems to be inverted (DZ70 most expensive R2 cheapest)

There are lots of un-answered questions about faction schematics

Are they draft or experimental? If draft how are you supposed to use them if you dont have the right skills(in which case you would already have the schematic) if experimental what determines the resources needed

Its alot of faction points to blow if they turn out to be usless and I for one wont be the first to find out

Is there any one out there that can help us shed some light on this subject.

Nobody seems to want to waste their hard earned faction points on a squeaky little R2 unit, and I don't blame them. Im curious too, but it would take me weeks to get enough faction points to find out.

I was a bit disappointed in the schematics myself. I was hoping each side would have unique models only craftable by DEs aligned with that faction, and the droid itself would only be usable by players aligned with that faction. For example, Imperial-aligned DEs might be able to buy a schematic for the RA-7 series protocol droid (the "Death Star" droid). The droid would only be usable by Imperial-aligned players, and might provide a small discount on requisitioning equipment (-15%) or something along those lines (to represent the droid's knowledge of the Imperial Bureaucracy, and its skill at cutting through "red tape"). Rebel-aligned DEs and players might have something similiar in the M-3PO.

That could be expanded so that factional tailors recieved special uniform schematics, chefs got food schematics, etc. For flavor text, the items received from the Empire should be based off of Human worlds/cultures ("Human High Culture", food from Corulag, or clothing styles from Chandrila) where as the Rebellion, being more open-minded, would draw from a variety of cultures. Again, these items could only be created by factionally-aligned crafters, and can only be used by players of the same faction as the crafter.

At any rate, just throwing an idea out to help get the crafters more involved in the civil war.

Has anyone actually gotten one of these schematics? Maybe they have different skins, or color schemes. I'd like to find out, but man, that's a lot of faction points for that.

so you get the crafting schematic, which allows you to build them over n over, or is it just like a deed, and you only get the one bot?

Just a thought, but perhaps for the price of the faction point, the schematic allows the buyer to be able to build one droid of purchased type without being a DE. You can buy "pets" without being a CH, you can buy all the types of weapons listed even if the components of and finished weapons aren't avail. on your server. Perhaps this isa one shot droid schematic for non-DE's. Just a thought, I'm not spending 6K to buy something that I can make already, like everyone else on this forum. =)
