Do these work or add anything?

I've got 1, seems to add to my skills. Put it in with a - complexity, and I seem to be getting super low Qualties on final assembles. Haven't tested it very much so I'm not sure if it's me or if it'shappening.

I have a cloak that has +11 to droid assembly and +5 to droid experimentation, and it works great. One nice thing is that it give me a 6th experimentation block, but it also reduces the fail rate for certain things.

I have the same thing, I love my extra experimentation point

While I only have a +5 Assembly tape, I have noticed a decrease in critical falures

I've got a +25 experimentation one myself and it works great for me, gives mea total of 8 experimentation points (which means I can use 2 level 3 modules instead of a level 6 if I'm short on parts/resources). On a side note, if anyone on Tarquinas has some DE skill tapes they're willing to sell I'm buying.

Where the heck did you get such a high skill tape? I've only found 2 in my whole time playing, and neither were related to myself. I found someone that could make a belt for me, but due to my lack of knowledge at the time, I ended up with the skills mostly to help the BH.

I would really like to find a high-end skill tape or two...my wookiee clothes need some fixing up. If anyone on Chilastra knows or, or has any themselves, please send Ki-Odo a /tell.

I bought a belt with the enhancement already in it off someone. This was back when skill mods were broken and didn't seem like they'd be working anytime soon so I got a great price on it (10k I think).

Keep in mind before shelling out 100k for a skill tape that Master DEs will have the max 100 in assembly and experimentation in a week or two when the TC changes are pushed live.

You sure the 100 will be a max? I had an armorsmith friend claim he had his upto 140 with skill tapes. While I believed him and never asked him to prove it, it seems like this could be a vaible option. Anyone out there tried a skill tape on somthing you already had 100 in? it work/not work?

Heh, it's true. And also keep in mind that they're all wasting countless amounts of money to get more experimentation for a profession that is notorious for experimentation being USELESS. About all they can use it for is the crafting stations, and making the lower level item/data/med mods just a little more useful, even though they could use a higher level one without any problem (ex. making a level 3 almost as good as a level 4).

I'm just planning ahead, and if you consider 10k countless amounts of cash.... your not doing something right with this profession. I charge about 20 - 50% of what all the other DE's in my area do, don't advertise anymore, and still have well over 2 million (Would have more but I buy my resources and MA parts, as well as provide as many resources as I can get my hands on for my friends, a architect and a ArmorSmith).
