Thread: Pub 7 no mention of fixing the 'everlasting seeker droid ' bug?
They maybe including this as one of the many fixes for us. But from what I've seen in that list quite a few things they mention before are missing. Either they're still working on things or somethings may still be in limbo and not included with this Pub.
Sigmar Fellhammer - Master Artisan, Weaponsmith, Droid Engineer
SIGCOR Industries, Coronet City Corellia, Shadowfire
Well all I can say is: It's getting bloody late to be working on things like that.
Things that have been in our bug list almost forever.
I need Summer, this SAD thing is getting to me lol

What I'd really like to know is when SOE is going to start banning BHs for exploiting this. There have been several of them bragging about doingit on this forum alone.
Gnome, they won't ban anybody for this. Besides the fact that there's really no way around the exploit (the charges don't reduce no matter what the BH does), somebody said that it was actually intentional on the Devs' part because the seekers are so borked.
Either way, it's like the speeder fix bug. It's so easy to do, and can be done without thinking about it, that they really can't ban anybody for it because they can't tell who's doing it intentionally and who's doing it by accident.
I know that this is on the list to be fixed. I do not know of the status on this one...only that it IS supposed to be fixed in P7.

Is this being fixed? What news TK?

Respectfully,
So help me out here...if this is a bug (which is implied because it's on the list of things to be fixed) how is using it not an exploit? How could a BH NOT notice that he's only bought 1 crate of seekers and it lasted him all the way through Inv 2 and 3? It's not like some of the bugs we've seen where it's kinda vague..this is easy to see. I bought 25 seekers and I used 500. How can that be a accident?
It's a bug...BHs know it's a bug. Using it is an exploit and should be a bannable offense.

Bottom line is they need to fix it period
I don't think that any Bounty Hunters should be banned for using it - it is far too easy to use it accidentally - but it damn well needs to be fixed.
And to all the Bounty Hunters who try to rationalize it, just don't. It's a bug. It has been confirmed asa bug on both of our respective forums. Using a bug to gain an advantage is an exploit. Therefore using this bug is exploiting. Delete the Seeker manually after you complete the mission... duh, it's not that hard to figure out how toavoid exploitingthis particular bug once you are aware of it.

What if asomebody bought a 10 charge seeker, lost count and used it 11 times? You want to ban a guy for that? Bottom line is yes, it's a bug. But calling it an exploit is a little over the top, especially when it is harder to "play nice" (having to keep track of every charge used and manually deleting the seeker) than it is to play normally, and not have the seekers used up.
Your anger is directed at the wrong people here. The BH's didn't cause this problem. In fact most BH's would probably side with DE's as we are needed for them to do their job. Don't alienate one of our few repeat customers.
