Thread: question about droids from a non-DE
I don't think it is an exploit. The description for a cluster module says it fits in a "variety" of slots. To me this means more than one type of slot. So IMHO a cluster module can fit in in a standard slot and allow 3 modules to be installed.
However, I imaging that SOE would see the "Stacking" of cluster modules as an exploit. Maybe not as what is the point? More than one crafting station in a droid won't work so no point in stacking those. Same for item storage and medical modules (they are capped). Data modules... who cares. It seems instead of making it so you couldn't stack cluster modules they jsut limited the effects of stacking modules all together.

Cluster modules are only supposed to be usable in slots for cluster modules (R2, R3, etc) but are usable in any slot! Technically, you could have every single possible module in an MSE, which only takes one module without using the exploit.
I refuse to take advantage of this as well, except for two occasions (ie broke).
I personally don't/haven't stacked cluster modules as I am afraid it will be nerfed somehow and my customers will lose functionality. But like I said ealier, what is the point? You can't get more than 10 items or more than one crafting station or more than 110% medical so there really isn't a need to stack cluster modules. Yes I guess you could stack a ton of level 1 medicals to get to 110% but if you are at the point where you can make a cluster are you really going to craft L1 modules anymore?
As far as armor in the BLL LOL... the way it is now, why bother. I'm hoping these will have a use like harvester runs and the armor will come in handy then.
can i at least get the 110 medical and a craft station and still have max armor?
And is there someone on Starsider that can make this for me?
As far as armor they must be meant to stack. If you look at the higher level armor plates it looks like you should be able to tailor the armor piece to give better protection towards certain damage types. If that's possible you should be able to boost 2 resistances.
>>>It is an exploit that the Devs are choosing to ignore.

I don't agree with this. If cluster modules were only meant for cluster slots, then why not just create the droid schematic with more regular slots?
I don't think it's an exploit.
