Thread: Last Month I will Play If We Don't Get A Response From A Dev on DE!
However, unless ANYONE can get back to us and post in our DE forum before my subscription runs out this month, I am done. As I stated, I am tired of no response and cannot see this as fun for more than another month. If you are curious as the problems I do see and others as well, you can view this link for my posts...
I wish I could say more, but you can't on these forums as freedom of speach does not exist.

(I will also post this on the main forum)
I have my bad days and good days as far as DEing goes. I am going to wait it out and see what comes of what could be a really great profession. Hopefully we will get some loving soon.
I still enjoy sitting in the corner, watching customers come into the ACRID Commerce Center on Corellia, buying droids and taming. Sitting there watching the droid pop up and thinking 'ah that thing looks as good as ever, hope it serves its new master well'.
Don't give up AF, not yet ![]()
Yeah, I've been getting bored, too. A few reasons/indications:
1. I go into Coronet City and look around, and can't force myself to /shout "Selling droids" because then I might have to make another one, and also, about half the people there already bought droids I've sold them (good and bad).
2. I am 4 4 0 4 and have 40k of steel and 15k of fiberplast in my inventory, but can't force myself to grind even one more advanced droid frame. What's the point? I'll just hit master more quickly and not have anything more than I do now (adv. BLL? adv. Protocol (okay), adv. R3 (okay), level 6 modules (no better than level 4 stacked).
3. I spend most of my time sending emails to bounty hunters asking them if they need droids. One of the guys I emailed tonight sent me a tell asking if I knew seekers didn't work. I said I knew they sometimes didn't work right but usually they did. He said they hadn't worked for weeks. I told him I did not think that was true. There was a pause, then he asked me how what the Arakyd probe droids were for. ![]()
4. I can't list any more reasons as all my energy has been sucked out of me by droid engineering.
How, HOW? can you stay positive? When the only positive i can see is that the DE is positively screwed as a class, that the DEVs are positively clueless about how and where to fix DE's? That once you make a crafting station sale you will positively never see that customer again unless they need a Chassis to decorate their house?
Simply logging on lately is enough to make me positively nauseous! So, have you cursed atyour 'droidengineer developer'today? (should they even be worthy of the subtitle)
Pay attention to the Dev Tracker. Holo has been at least talking with us a little on the SWG Discussion forum...

I agree Kurt. From what has been said by Devs over the past week its pretty obvious there is a BIG change coming to the DE within the next month. Everytime Holo has posted talking about problems, he's referred to droids. This is pretty much the first time they are admitting things are as bad as people have been saying, and the first time they have hinted at changes in the works.
As well as this, the droid customisation tool is in the works and, from what holo and Vass have briefly said, may be back on TC working very soon. This means the "customers never come back" problem is total bull...
Imagine how many droid ownsers are suddenly going to be seeking a DE when they hear the news that their beloved useles piece of junk can be a pretty coloured useless piece of junk ![]()
Thanks for the tip, BlueMorgoth, I was not aware prepatch seekers didn't work right after the patch. If I had known that I certainly would have told him so, but as it was we had a difference of understanding between ourselves that was not resolvable by customer service.
As far as customer service goes, I agree 1000%. I couldn't list for you the number of times I have gone out of my way to explain things to customers, show them how to use droids (whether they bought them from me or not), creatively advertise, etc. I think all DE's who are still around understand this.
"Here's the problem I'm seeing. Everyone wants their prof fixed, and by
fixed, I mean they want it to be Uber."
Um.. As far as I knew.. Droid Engineers didn't want to be uber, they just didn't want to be obsolete. ![]()
You have to fix the droid before it can even think about stomping on everyone else, right?
A doughnut without a hole is not a doughnut, it's a danish. ![]()
Then again.. At this point maybe "fixed" doesequal "uber"! ![]()
I am positive, thats why my master DE has been shelved an i created a muscian on another server.
All this attention to nerfing and such...lack of fixes for broken classes....really starts to tick people off.
Hate to say it but might be time to start dusting off the old EQ account again....least there I can get a customized dungeon everytime, I go out with my friends :![]()
When i frist heard that they were makeing SWG i wanted to build droids, I put in for beta but was never contacted. The day it came out i ran to the store and bought it and ran the setup, hopeing i could start building some cool droids! I soon found that i had to get a great deal of xp and resouirces before i could even start building droids! Then in the second week of intens playing i start seeing players running arnound with probots, wow what a lift, i was still mired in the artisan tree, but just looking at the players wow were useing their droids made me want to get there that much worst! Then at the end of the third week i finally got to master Artisan and rushed to get Novice DE. That week or the next they nerfed probots and factories. The screaming started and a lot of life blead out of our class! I soon came to find out that alot of the modules did not work and not many droids could be built do to a lack of resources. I had chossen Rori due to the advertisement that it was RESOURCE RICH! yet it had no more or less than any other planet. I finally made it to the point i could make the Adv probot and thought finally all my hard work would start paying off and i could feel usefull, but it was not to be for later that week they put in droid permedeath!! I lost several good droids that day and almost quit, I bucked up and said i will not quit! I still try to stay positive but it is real hard! I see some improvement but it is too slow, and too little!
The DEVs are to blame they nerfed the probot for NO REASON!!! They put in droid PEREMDEATH FOR NO REASON!!! They should be held accountable!! They claim it takes time well it did not take long for the nerf or permedeath to be put in why then 3 to 4 weeks to remove the Permedeath? Why isn't the armour fixed? Why are probots still nerfed? THER IS NO REASON NONE THEY WERE NEVER OVERPOWERED!!!
