That's a lot of advanced droid brains.

If that's the extent of the order requirements, meaning they aren't asking for ADV chassis or any other modules, I would say that indifidually the droids would go for 300K-350K on my vendor (granted, I don't have any non-ADV droids or droids with only one module on my vendors). I think that 250K credits would be a fair price for such a large order.

That's my 2cr.

Hey - when did they start putting 'f's in 'individually'?

So my price of 230,000 wasn't unreasonable I guess the guy was just upset I recently raised my prices to be closer in line with other DEs

Well, if I were selling them individually, I'd charge 16k apiece for the surgicals and 18k for the R2's. That works out to 420k, which I'd probably knock down to 380k. Don't forget that you're almost guaranteed to get one, if not more critical failures unless you use a factory schematic.

For those of you doing the calculations, just for the R2's that'd tie up a pair of factories for a while, although I could probably do larger scale runs and use the components in other custom orders (I never stock anything that takes an advanced brain- they're too much of a pain to make).

16 advanced droid brains = 65 EG modules and 65 EMM modules

16 advanced motive systems = 17 control units

16 advanced frame units

16 manipulator arm package sets

16 droid sensor packages

16 General service modules:

34 Level 4 medical modules (or 17 L6 modules, which requires 18 EG chips and 54 EMM chips, if I remember right)

17 food crafting stations

I can't remember- do basic R2's require droid brains? I don't think so, but that'd be one more requirement, although I usually have a few cases of those sitting around.

All that works out to 11 or 12 factory runs. Even with two factories going night and day, that's going to take at least 2-3 days, maybe even 4 if you work and can't swap schematics during the daytime. And that's just for the R2's...

Granted, you could also hand craft them. However, given the potential for Crit fails and the time it takes to custom make droids, you're looking at several hours of crafting. Charging a high price for four or five hours of of a master DE's timeseems justified to me. Of course, if you really enjoy clicking the same little boxes for hours on end to make a slender profit and don't mind the frustrations of critical failures, you're welcome to do that too..

well my other pet theory is the guy is reselling them at a higher price since I was selling them so cheep. That was his second very large droid order from me.

Well depends on prices per server, I sell advanced R2's for 25k a peice, and they sell very well, I've sold 3 of them just in the last 3 days, I've not gotten on to see if the one on my vendor right now has sold or not. And I sell advanced surgicals for 14k on the same vendor and the R2's outsell the surgicals.

So idividually for me that would be 445k. Although for the bulk order I'd probably go down to 350k.

I think your pet theory is absolutely correct given what you have said in these posts.

It sounds like he was definitely reselling them.

I sell my R2s and Surgicals both for 17.5K each so I say you are giving him a fair price at 230K. I also give a 10% discount for the purchase of 5 or more droids.
