Thread: How much creds do you make a day?

I was wondering on how much credit each droid engineers out there make a day. I consider myself very successful as I make over 30k creds a day selling 10-20 droids on the bazaar every day, and make around 10k xp in the process (I'm still novice, 1-2-0-3).

I'm on Ahazi, Tatooine, Bestine and I sell MSE(1000c), DZ70(2500c), R5(3000c) and Treadwells(2500c) on the bazaar (with lvl2 med modules, med rating 65).

I'm actually not very far in Droid engineer and I don't grind at all (unless you count sitting down and making 10-20 droids for sale in the bazaar), and it's not as horrible and boring as other people make it sound like in these forums. And I almost never get special orders and the vendor in my house never sells unless it's the rare special order.

But I don't see any droid other than mine on sale on the bazaar, and I've always wondered if I was underselling them or something. And I still don't see droids anywhere so I always wonder where all the droids go after I sell them (to another person's vendor at higher price?).

(oh and did anyone else notice that the DZ70's ham went up to 180? I just noticed a few days ago, and it's still useless though, haha...)

Depending on the day, I would say average about 80k. Some days I do less, some days I do more... but generally in and around that range.

Yesterday, I sold two droids (a nice Probot and a cheap LE), a Speederbike, and a Swoop. Netted about 85k. That's about typical.

I usually make about 50 - 80k a day, I do like you and sell a bunch off of the bazaar. I dont sell much of the mse droids. However, the dz70s and the r4s are life savers I just sell them for 3k each. It is a small amount, but it makes a good bit. You are doin good man!

I make about 200k-300k per day on droids, depending on how available I make myself and weather I actually try to sell any. I'd say there are two things you have to do to make money as a DE. First and formost, you can't be in that mentality that some DE's have that all droids suck and we can't make anything good. This idea just shows ignorance towards the profession and screws your sales over before they get started. Secondly you have to establish good customer relations. I'd say 100k-200k of my sales per day are all repeat customers and referrals. I keep a list of all my customers (getting around 350 people or so now) and send out an email whenever there's news regarding the DE profession or with any new information on droids. I also answer any questions people have and offer solutions/suggestions to their problems. This keeps customers coming back and gets them to spread the word.

I wish I would have done this. I don't know if its lack of thought when the "Sale" message pops up or the amount of time required to keep it up. Another nice thing to have is the global marketing under the merchant line. It can really increase your sales.

Anyway, the bulk of my cash comes from powerups sales. I make them by the 1000's and sell them fairly cheap compared to others (I mean the mark up on the things are rediculous anyway). I also keep experimenting them until i get exactly what I am looking for and only use materials of 990+ OQto get the very best PU's possible. A lot of people make one powerup and throw it in the factory whether it stinks or not.

Secondary my credits come from Droids and Vehicles, with a few max made tools and stuff thrown in there. Sometimes I sell a dozen droids a week, then again I may only sell one a week. It is a highly volatile market. I think once the new droids come out the demand is going to increase quite a bit just because people will want to see what they are and how they do. The pricing on the new ones is going to be the tricky part. Also if we can build frames ahead of time or they are going to require totally new frames to build combat class droids (even if they are deriviatives of the same droids we are making now. New schematics with weapon slots may appear).

If you havent heard about the DEA on Ahazi yet, tell Woodrow next time you are in game. I imagine there will be a meeting pretty soon and you can ask a lot of Ahazi DEs their price list. Prices vary insanely from server to server and on Ahazi we're pretty lucky that we dont live in one of our droids and can make a living.

If you're making that much money on those droids then you're doing great, and you dont need us to tell you Though as you go up you'll find you'll probably be undercutting if you keep to the main bazarre. My guess is that because people are buying it on the bazarre they are probably newbie players and dont know what they do and just want a droid.

I have a long complicated pricing scheme. In rough Seekers 2k, Probes 5k.Chassis range from 10k - 30k, modules are 5k each. Probots w/ 1 module is 30k. My best seller is the 2-1B w/ med & Chem crafter for 25k. If you would like to see my prices, send me mail in game, im on Ahazi as well.

That said, i make very random sales. If I sit all day in Coronet, I can make 200k. Usually someone buys a couple droids off my vendor, but I offer 1/2 off to guildmates which are my largestcustomer base.

So maybe 25k-50k a day when i dont try and 200k when i do try. I have a 750k credits and theres nothing I need to buy so I have been pretty lazy, setting up harvestors. I just spent 300k on upgrades to reactor and heavy mineral harvestors, and ill probably spend that again to grab heavy chem/gas. Though it took me about 3 months to grind my way to MDE and I never had more than 10k (and usually a lot less) from feeding the harvestors.

Aye. Just send me (Woodrow) an in-game email or /tell and I'll help you out with any and every question you can have about Droid Engineering on Ahazi (or in general). I'll also add you to my lists of droid engineers so you can be kept abreast of mineral spawns and current events.

And as far as the next meeting... I'm holding off till we know when the next major patch will be out. I want to schedule it for just after the patch so we can all get together and speak about it. But when we hold them they are grand affairs with a lot of interesting people and thoughts going into one giant conversation.
