Ok, let's recap.
"Publish 8 (Droids Rebuilt)"
Now, take a look at the details...the focus on droids compose of 3 items. There are 11 items in total. That is 27% !!
27% of a publish directed to a certain profession, in my mind, does not glorify naming the publish after that profession! What a let down. What were these people thinking? Just because they put our profession in lights and name a publish or 2 after us we will be satisfied? Please...give me a break.

we flushed the idea they proposed, and there wasn't enough time to come up with another one that would be well balanced.

Actually, that idea was self-flushing pretty much.
So far I've only heard about the 3 new utility modules and the 'exploding droid' module. Don't know that anything else at all is in the works.
Honestly, if we haven't heard about it at this point, there probably IS nothing else in the works. That was it, enjoy your 'new skills,' have a nice day.

Don't hold your breath. I think this development team mostly plays EQ or X-Box in their leisure time. Droids are apparently not the recipient of many of their creative energies.

Oh! Wait! I'm being negative, which makes the SOE people not want to post on the forum. Apparently you get 'love' for your profession based on how positive you are. Note that we still haven't heard a damn thing more about Publish 8 droidness aside from the patch notes.
All I have to say to that concept from a Customer Serivce point of view:
Bull**edit**! Do your freakin' job and quit whining! Tell us what the hell is going on if you want our contributions. Or just tell us what the hell is going on period!
I'mglad I got Master Weaponsmith, it gives me something useful to make that players actually WANT.

heh, It has been 6 months since they announced some love to DE, I guess we can all wait 1 more eh? After all, what is another $15 down the tubes while we all sit on the edge of our seats?

Just a few non-helpful things I felt compelled to add. Look at all the things that are NOT on the table from Goranoth's bug list.
Something tells me this publish will be as much of a let down as the other "de publish" was... although I find it funny how we are being focused on but other features of the game still get a whole lot more attention. I am now of the opinion the developers were paying attention in their psycology classes.... only useful thing from that study was how to mess with peoples heads.
Look on the bright side people... it took them almost a year to pay any attention to us and get our bugs fixed that we had since beta. By the time they pull their heads from where the sun dont shine and do something useful with us some other MMORPG will have come along and everyone will say to hell with sony and they will all be fired and we can sit back and finally get the laugh on them!
I'll probably get another message from TK over this... but I dont care anylonger. I'll be MDE until the end of this semester but I dont know for how long I'll even be in this profession or game after that point. At least I doubt I'll be explaining for hours on end that we have no new droid types with publish 8... but who knows that might happen anyway- the population wants new droids but the devs spend too much time on creatures and other ideas to do any justice to the Profession.

Required in game resource much needed for DE = good friends to keep you cheered up, good friends that are willing to buy your droids when no one else is willing to do so, good friends who will take a gimped R-unit from you so you can sit back and let your LE Repair woop the R-units dome....
