Thread: Medical Droids not working?
I'm a newbie DE who just sold his first medical mouse droid.
However, my customer told me that it didn't work. In fact, it was because the one that he had stopped working for him that he wanted a new one (his previous is not from me).
Since this is my first, I have no basis for reference. I know my medical mouse droid isn't working either, ie. I still can't heal wounds.
Acked
Ahazi Newbie DE
There is an EXCELLENT chance your droid just needs a recharging.
For best results, use a NEW battery, or a power droid, not a battery made before last weekend.
To test, try issuing a 'get patrol point' or 'group' command, and see if it gives you a *low power* message.
It was definitely a new battery?
And you were not in a cantina?
Then I'm out of ideas, I'm afraid. /bug it.
Feed your droid a battery, make sure you're not in a building, store and recall the droid. If none of those work, then you may have a lemon droid.
I mention the lemon factor because a customer came up to me and said that both his medical and his chem crafting modules weren't working in his probot. I went through all the normal steps with him, and none of them got it to work. So I went through all the possible things I could think of myself, and it still didn't work. (At this time I should say this was an early probot, but a post-nerf one. You can tell depending on if they have all their commands in the description or not). So, being good DE I informed him that the droid was pretty much dead, and he'd need a new one. He agreed, and after taking in the old one for half value of a baseline model(bout 8k. Was still good for combat) I whipped him up a new droid and let him go.
Anyhow, so there's a possibility that the latest patch may have 'lemoned' some of the older droids out there.
I can confirm this is a bug.
It doesn't happen all the time.. but as of last night... I called my medical droid out... ran outside my house and attempted to enhance some friends.
It kept saying that I needed to be in a medical centre or near a medical droid etc.
I went back inside and recalled it... stepped outside.... same message.
This morning? Same thing...
DEFINITELY A BUG... and I've /bug it alreayd.
Ok, I just tried the group command, and I got the *Low power* prompt in the chat window
First time I have ever had it... after 2 months of use.
I think they may have "fixed" the code for power.... I'll try and get a battery and test further
I received an ingame email complaint last night regarding a customer's medical module not working.
The module is in an AdvProbot and it is fully charged.
I'd LOVE to know if this is an acknowleged issue or not. If it is, will it be fixed? I guess for now I'm building a free probot to replace it with. Just what DEsneed... having to replace expensive droids for free because these code "fixes" screw everything up.Ridiculous. ![]()
Cheers,
