Thread: Made DE in 3 to 4 days, but i dont know how to make a bot

It was a bad feeling when I as a bounty hunter knew more than you about it

SO let me get this right. You grinded out a crafting profession, are now a Master DE, have no clue about the profession at all (not even the basics ie. slots) and you come and want all the information about the profession to be handed to you on a platter?
wow

In my normal Anglo Saxon style : Go forth and multiply you utter waster.
Read the Sticky FAQ here. Even without the new stuff, the principles still apply.
Personally you ought to either lurk and learn for a little while, or drop half your boxes and start with the basics. I hope to god you don't try to run around with your Master DE tag over your head, because it's not going to help anyone. Even 2 weeks after our publish I still get lots of questions when I go into cities, and you aren't prepared to deal with that in a fashion that reflects well on the profession.

New DE myself, i was grinding it before the change -- just slow, -- didnt even know about the changes -- just not enough droid engineers on my server and to many weaponsmiths,
my advise contact some existing droid engineers, lucky i play ion a server with the likes of ackis... experienced de's are your best bet, 2 weeks in and im running 3 factories gathering resources and ive made 1 droid. (gathering skill tapes to)
I honestly had de as my holo -- i mastered it and i dont plan on dropping it. i found a class i love.
all i say is the imperial army on wanderhome will now be supplied with the lates in droids, once all these factories are done --- lets see 1000 droid branes done... 1000 advaced chasies, level 6 armour modules 1000 -- i run factories on non experimental parts with grinding resources -- like i said its a few weeks in -- and by friday i will be able to pump out my first few lots of droids.. my problem is i dont do things small -- mind you i have the credits to do things real large...
just remember factories and high quality units in the right parts are your friend.
This happens all the time. I have a RP apprentice in my guild an what i told him applies to this situation.
"Do you wanna be a DE or are you holo grinding?" i asked my pupil
"No no, i want to be a DE i want to make droids," he replied
"Ok good, cuz i can teach you how to get to MDE, but you wont really be a master of anything, you wont know the first thing about making a droid," i instructed him.
I continued, "You see this tag over my head," /pointup "It means nothing. You have to really learn this profession to do it well."
