In trying to make my way to Master Pistoleer, I have tried a few droid combo's to help me. My latest is by far my favorite. It is a Probot with 5 Autorepair Modules.
With no Combat module, it only does 1 point of damage a shot. But this is enough to pull and hold agro. With the autorepair on, it heals each HAM bar 90 points every 10 seconds, or 540 a minute. Since the 90 is not split up, as it is with Repair kits, this is actually 1620 total healing a minute, or the same as using a Stim D every minute.
Of course my battery usage has gone way up. But while I i used to have to use 2 to 3 stim Ds a battle, I now use 1 every 3 or 4 battles. And thats only becuauseI am impatient and not willing to wait the 1 minute it takes for pet to heal itself for max. I have yet to see this probot get close to incapped.
And the best feature, droid takes 20-30 exp a kill max not instead of 300-400. This adds up to over 2000 extra exp every mission. And while I still need over a million exp to hit master, every little bit helps.

Neat was thinking of something like that for myself. Cool, just have to finish my other 10 + order before I can make my next probot.

This is a really good post for us droid engineers that are just starting out and figuring out what works for what and who.
I'm gonna start producing some of these on my server for the combat professions that are grinding up.

This would be the advanced probot to be able to hold 5 modules. Offhand, I can't remember how many modules a regular probot can hold. 3?

Wow that sounds like a cool idea. I'll have to order one of these probot supa tanks from one of our fine DE's on Chilastra and take it out for a drive.
