I have kinda lost track as to what a droid can and can not do these days.
Here is my dream droid
In priority order.
1. Med rating of 110 (is this still the highest?)
2. One that will not run away when I am fighting.
3. Has storage
4. Has armor.
What would be the best option?
Money, resouces, etc are no issue.

Total yes, in fact the new system made it even easier now. Can even add Stimpack dispensers if you want. Armor isn't working properly now though.

Well this has been a option all along you just must not of specified your question right. you would need a droid with at least 3 module slots:
-
level 6 med module -
level 6 storage mod -
combat module (to keep it from running) -
level 6 armor (to protect your investme even though its borked right now.)
then depending on the chassis you chose you may have space to put additional modules:
-
crafting stations -
stimpack dispencers (only works with stim-A's) -
harvest module -
etc.

Armour is a separate slot type to combat/equipment.

Since money isn't an issue, get an R3 droid with those features. You will have room for other options as well (up to six module slots); probably combat modules as others are suggesting. That will give it fighting capability and high health. You also might want to consider data storage if you're a rebel pilot or have access to an ETA-2 Actis Starfighter. Stimpack dispensers are kinda useless, but might be useful as a backup. Auto-droid repair modules will give it healing capability to itself and other friendly droids.
Ultimately, check out the DE stickes at the top for a full list of droid modules available.

While yes such a Droid has been an option all along, the addition of those other modules would have taken away from the combat power of the droid.
With the new system, you can max combat power with just 3 combat modules.

Don't you max the CL of the droid in 2 combat modules if you also have 2 armor modules installed? I thought armor added 5 CLs to the droid... I haven't made a combat droid since Pub 18, but that's what I thought I understood....

I thought the armor maxed at 6k from armor, so you need 3 combat modules to hit 9k. Assuming it is working. Let me go look again lol.

That is correct. You just need to hit the 276 combat rating to get the 3k extra armor, for a total of 9k

Yeah, I'm looking for something similar, but I don't need the storage. One of my earlier post, pre-pub 18, sugested to get Adv R3 w/ 1 Med6, 4 Auto repair and 1 Combat module would be best IMO, with Armour6 (just in case it ever works)
How much has changed since pub-18. Again, I want the droid to tank damage. I don't care how much damage it can do. In some of the posts it seems combat modules haveeverything to do with CL/HAM. Please help. Thanks.
