Thread: Meat price wars have begun on Intrepid
Only thing that i see , is you guys have a awsome spawn of avian,the best i have ever seen since i became a doc,there has been some close to yours on our server but it has been a very long time.
But our prices are about 50 cpu during the spawn,when everyone and their dogs are harvesting it.When our prices got out of hand is when we had a month or so without a good spawn and the people who held on to theirs or drop doc are ready to sell it.
I just paid 175 cpu on bria trade forums for 13k of our last spawn of avian that wasnt near as good as yours.It was itokt 971 OQ 750 ish PE 500 ish DR , Thats not near as good as what you guys are getting.
My Advice is harvest day and night and get as much as you can,dont pay the rediculous cpu prices,not when you can harvest it yourselves.
When it is gone is when the prices should be 175 cpu and up not now while it is still in spawn.
First thing you learn on Intrepid though is that EVERYTHING is inflated compared to most of the other servers, resources, unfortunately, are no exception...

Actually Newmoon posted a while ago that avian on one of her other servers started at 250cpu at the beginning of the shift. So 175cpu is a bargain comparatively
Personally I stick to buying so I dont get caught up in price gank wars personally.
Great points, one of the reasons why I posted this here and not on our forums. Non-doctors and even more established doctors tell us to **edit** and live with it, and while I understand their justification being that vir vurs are a PITA to hunt (I've gone out myself) it's still impossible for medium or smaller suppliers to compete at the same level. According to one of them the reason why they raised their payout from 100-150-175cpu was that noone was getting any for them. Any Doctor who hasn't been in the industry long enough or that doesn't have some combat skills to farm credits on Dantooine can't really afford it. Those who are a MD and Master Combat whatever don't have the skill points for scout to do it themselves. We rely on price and demand and I guess there's not much that can be done. C'est la vie avec SWG.
But yes, this is the first spawn we can make 900+ base packs. For the first time since I started doc back in Nov' of last year we finally managed to get an awesome reactive shift for 3.6 hour buffs and two shifts of avian. I just wish I hadn't spent over 3 mil on the first shift knowing this one is as good if not better.
I think people need to be grateful for what they have.

You guys are so lucky,on bria we havent had a spawn like that in a very very long time.
What i dont understand is why you are willing to pay or people are asking that kind of price during the spawn.
Are prices were arround 50 cpu during the spawn,after it was gone was when the prices started to soar.
I paid 175 cpu for an avian not as near as good as that.
