Thats because every doc was offering 100cpu right off the bat. It really hurts people later in the end. I for example still have that good Herb meat that was in shift a few weeks ago that was going for 60 cpu. If a couple months go by and no good shift I won't let it go for less than 75-100cpu. Its just the nature of how the economy works I guess.

There's only one word for these prices.

And just before you start flaming, I'm a Master Doctor who did it because he wanted to. And I'm still Master Doctor, and I'd rather go harvest it bit by bit than pay these prices for bloody profiteering.
And no, I do not buff the public, but if any Rebel on Chilastra comes and asks me fora buff, I'll buff him up. Just tip me what you can afford.

We've have Low900/High 800/Mid900 Avian go for around 500. I've even seen it for 1kcpu on vendors.

heh the solution is simple! dont make buff packs over 900 =p then all the people on the server will wonder why they are not as good as they used to be =p

LOL... I was just picturing seeing 946 oq - 962 pe Avian on the bazaar for 6000cr and then realizing that it's 6 units of meat.

The smartest post I have seen on the forums today.

You guys keep stockpiling this crap up and paying through the nose for it. I don't want to start a "Whats going to happen to buffs with the combat revamp?" but if it goes badly you guys are going to have alot of **edit** to get rid off. And I'm not pointing fingers but I see way too many docs complaining about meat prices that need to get off their asses and head out with a friend if necessary to collect meat to curb these prices. Spend the 15 SP's to get scout and get a harvest droid. Its really not that hard.... Stop creating the demand and the price will shift.

I had to offer 100 cpu last time to get people to get some meat for me. The problem is not that we want to influate prices, it's that nobody will bother getting some if you don't offer them enough money. Especially for Rori meat as it's such a pain to get.

Here my 2 cents.
1. Pay the guy his money. Even at 200 cpu you will still make cash on buff packs. On average at 200 cpu your looking at about an 8k per pack cost. If your selling them for 15k your still almost doubling your money. And if your buffing for cash and you packs have 30ish charges then that 8k investment will yield 45k easy.
2. If you want to lower your costs then go out and do a bit of hunting. You will quickly learn why someone wants 200 cpu for rori avain. It is a freakin pain to hunt. Any good fighter can make way more cr/hr doing Janta missions.
3. Forget about the 900+ pack. Go to lok or some other good yeilding avian planet. Make some 800ish packs and be happy. With a bit of bivoli you will hit the same number as the 900 pack w/o bivoli. Heck, with a 2k buff (800 pack w/o bivoli) you can do most anything in the game.
Well, that 3 cents anyway.

As a crafting doctor I pride myself on making the best buffs possible on Bria.
Sure, 2k is fine and dandy, but it isn't the best.
Anyone can do 2k, and I do not strive for mediocrity.

We strive to have better buffs, you say who cares? well its a pain to have as many complaints as possible,INfact WITH better buffs i never got any complaints because of sucky buffs(people that are rude complain i guess..),Its hard enough dealing with 5 people /telling you at the same time, while buffing a guy and people around asking "how much?" and a crowd, big or small waiting on every second for each stat i give this person while going to the next person and i forgot about 1 or 2 people so i had to skip (because them, then THEY complain about it and i haved to say "yes i know you paid" while the next fellow wanting to die so i can rez,i get a tef while rezing, wow in the cloneing center (NO wonder most people don't carry disease and wounds packs to heal you,i do but its a freaking pain!),i get healed go back pay people for time-loss,start again in the same spot, haveing to move because a speeder bike is on your nerves, take out your driod, wait on the next person to come up,they ask for the buff, they pay, my driod runs out of batterys i haved to search though my backpack for batterys, more people /tell i haved to tell them where i am at,what stats my buffs are andhow much my buffs cost (typeing as fast as i can and having to repeat myself because i mistyped) i fanilly get my battery and feed my driod,i forgot to put on Bivoli i gave him a full-sucky buff,i feel bad cus i could have given him better, while trying to keep track of who paid, who is coming over to find me and /telling people best i can without loseing my temper. Sound hard or just a bad day? well i do that everytime i buff for some Odd HOURS and just about every single thingi said happens everyotime i start to buff for your hunting habit (or what ever you need buffs for) i MAY not get a tef and die though, everytime i buff i mean,So people were saying how hard it is to get Avain meat? heh

Not to be mean here, but don't you guys have any friends or guildmates? I actually spend a good ammount of time (as do many of our PA members) hunting avian for out guild doctor because he buffs us all for free in exchange forthe free avian, a good avian spawned this week on Talus, and he probably has upwards of 80k of it from us (I am currently wanted on Talus for huf dun genocide,) its going to get us awesome free buffs for a while.
Do you not have agreements with your PA members like this? I'm not trying to starta flame here, I'm just asking to see if we are one of the few PA's who have this kind of arrangement or if it is something other guilds have tried. We also have a similararrangement for our PA Chef for meat and milk and eggs (and more importantly her BE.)
