Thread: Buff Pack Prices!!

I know many of you who make buffs sell them to those who stand outside the coronet star port all day, and make gobs of cash. they then turn around and pay you a large sum for a new set of buffs, and the cycle goes on, with both parties making a large sum o dough. this is all fine and good, unless....
this process causes the price of a set of buffs to go up to around 150k (the current norm)
this is lame for these reasons
1. it takes like 3 - 5k worth of resouces, and about 1/2 hour of time to make a set. so if you pay 5k worth of resources, and pay yourself 30k per hour for work (a lot), you would only have about 20k invested. that leaves roughly a 700% profit margin, wich is (not right)
2. the cost staying so high drives the cost of a commercial buff up to 10 -15k, wich takes money out of everyones pocket, including everyone who would buy all your other products and services
3. It makes even being a doc to buff yourself worth very little, as you will only save about 40k when buying buff packs over just paying to be buffed (not at all worth the days spents grinding my ass off)
all these things are true. no doubts about it. flame, and you flame that wich is merely questoning the wong. but, have fun flaming the **edit** out of my post anyways losers....

I'm currently working my way back up Doctor, went TKM/smuggler/pistoler about 3 mounths back so I had to drop MD, and when I was buying packs I bought some med use 90, duration 10(000)somthing, 912 power for 180k a set. and I still made a proffit.

I am sure you made a profit, a huge one that only causes the price gouging to go on. I do not wish to buff others for money, only myself. There are to many of you out there, standing in front of star ports turning massive profits, that you are more than willing to turn around and give large sums of to doctors, so that you can do the same the next day. its why I can't buy a set of decent buff d's for less that 150k

30k for a set of buffs would be a good profit turn around for a doc, but why would they do that, when they can make 150k thanks to all the buff bots out there

who ever said I sat in corolag buffing? I went do dath, buffed myself, and did rancor missions for 2 hours. that makes me about 200k-260k and guess what? I still have 32 of the 33 sets left that came in that 180k set.

well then glory dragon, don't you feel jipped that the doc who sold you those cut your profit down by a large percentile in order to increase his own by 700%? I thnk that lame. In the real world we have price control to curb that

cut my proffit down? by what? ok, let's work this out. if I do nothing but run rancor missions while I'm buffed, and I only attack the lairs to finish the mision insted of clearing the mobs for the xp to grind jedi then I can make 800k in three hours. that's 26.4 million from all 33 buffs. that's .6% (point six persent). but since I'm unlikely to spend ALL my buff time running missions lets duble that. hell lets tripple that. it's STILL LESS THEN 2%!! just thought I'd run the numbers for ya...

To the person who started this thread, cry more about money.
People need to stop complaning about money. Its not going to change. Look at the real world. Back in the 1960s, candy bars use to be 5 cents, and the movies use to be 25 cents. Now look a the prices.....

Good point. I was thinking about mentioning this, but couldn't think of an elegant way of putting it.

the purpose of this post was to get input on what people who were havin trouble affording buff packs though of the current price scenario, but as will every post that has exsisted on this board since the day it first came on-line, nothing was accomplished, and there was flaming galore. imagine that...
