Thread: So whats the Preferred style of payment

I'm not a doctor. I'm a customer. What exactly is the preferred style of payment. Tipping. Bank Tip. Or open up a trade window with the doctor and put the money in the slot and wait till buffs are done to give it to them. The other night I found a doc advertising buffs over and over. She working on one personand two other people are waiting in line. So thats fine. The doc is asking for bank tips to secure a spot in the line. So the doc finishes and gets to the next person and says this will be the last person. finishes up. runs off. tried to get my money back. wouldnt give it to me. i wanna keep from this happening to me again. but at the same time i dont want to lose a spot in line because everyone behind me has already paid. So what do i do. This is on the eclipse server by the way. I don't know if things work different on each server or what. I donno what the procedure is now.

I am on Eclipse and buff in Theed. I prefer regular tips, but accept bank tips. I ask that my customers wait until it is their turn.
To be honest, if I were you, I would not get in any line that requires prepaying. Find another buffer, there has to be one.

The standard on Chimaera is to bank tip, this sends the Doc an email which is good for three reasons.
Firstly he sees you've actually paid, direct tips only apear in the spacial and as a system message (which may be turned off) for a short while, if the doc is concentrating on buffing he may not notice your tip.
Secondly the bank tip email comes (now at least) from the "bank" username, no way to claim you tipped when you didn't or fake the email. And the email reserves your place in the queue. Now arguments about who arrived first or who's been waiting too long, you get buffed in the order your tip arrives.
And finally, if you happen to go afk while waiting for your buff, you may come back and find your buff applied, you don't have to be there to pay when you reach the head of the queue.
And some experiance from my slicing business, when your arguing with someone about cost, or can't get the trade window to work, or the trades keep failing your holding up your other customers. If the doc can move on to the next person while sorting out the issue, other people don't have to wait as long.
Of course this does mean that you, as the customer, are stuck in the queue once you tip. If someone in my queue decides they don't want to wait any longer (and I don't usually let my queue get that long) I usually give them the option of getting their money back minus the bank transfer cost if I have to bank tip them back. The few that have decided not to wait have been happy enough with that so far.

regular tip, definately, and don't pay till you get to me, i don't care, if you tip me ahead of time i WILL sell it back
i was accepting bank tips ahead of time once before and my internet dropped for like an hour, so i had all this money and poeple had no buffs, luckily i had their names so i could get em back but i felt like an ass.
also u don't know if another doc is gonna come up and u want to switch lines, or if they have to leave or i have to leave for RL or something, u just dont know.
i take both kinds, just prefer normal tips, shows up in the combat window or onscreen

Payment method does not bother me. What I hate is when ppl tip you and they are not at the front of the que. I have now made a 'shout' saying "IF YOU TIP ME BEFORE IT'S YOUR TURN CONSIDER YOUR CASH GONE". When I have a que of 10 to 15 ppl waiting for a buff I can't be botherd to scroll looking for payments.

TheRockStar accepts all major credit cards, cheques and of course cash.
On a more serious note I assume the question is directed at people who spend their playing time sitting there and buffing. They will most likely prefer bank tips, as they are then able to determine who is "next" in the queue.

I thought everyone used banktip these days =P I have never seen a doc (Chimarea) only accepting regular tips...
Sounds to complicated to me, just /banktip and goafk for a couple of mins.. Return and you are fully buffed and ready for adventure!

Not exactly... get in line... when you get to the front and are next, tip however you want and the buff begins. When I said no prepay, I meant not one where you have to pay just to get in the line. However, typically, my lines are not more the 5 or so deep. I could see where others would want to keep track of who is in line if they have a 30min line (15 people or so).

I require payment immediately prior tobuffing. Basically, I say "%TT, you're next .. 15k please .. Bank tips are accepted!" If they don't pay .. I target the person behind them and repeat. I do give them 1-2 minutes to pay as some people aren't keyboard friendly or are newbs.
I also state throughout the buffing process that I do not/will notaccept pre-pays AND if you do pre-pay when it isn't your turn "You have donated to the Sexy Visnja Clothing Fund .. Too bad you won't be able to see me model my new outfits!!"

wats is the point of having a line? All i did was say Bank tip to get in line and whoever is first in line gets buff unless they are gone to get BF down. Its not hard to find the person all u do is /target and there u have him as ur target and u start buffing. It just more work for ur customers to wait in line and move up everytime somebody is done buffing. it also doesnt get rid of the people who cut the line. With bank tip there is really no chance of anybody cutting and u cant miss a tip unless u get a reg tip
