OK, I'm sort of new to this profession...
I get at least 10 messages each hour...."Are you doing Buffs?" Is it me? or is there a shortage of Doctors on Bria?
I would like to hear how many you get each day?
I will start...the most in (1) day has been 35 -

I sort of lost count after 2-3 hours of messages. Some could have been from the same desperate person

I got like 5 tells within 10 minutes of putting up my med professor title. Promptly changed it and never used a doc title since.

Funny, I always thought there were too many docs on Bria. I guess the ones that buff are far and few between. I get tells shot at me every now and then, 6 per day easy, but I kill my tag every time I enter Coronet or Theed. Otherwise it feels like 6 per minute.

i am only a 0440 doc on bria and i get begged to b uff people, i had someone offer me 70k to buff them but i only buff myself so i have a standard copied response

I have found a way to stop this, or make even better money on buffs.
set your AFK as; No, I'm not buffing now, however if you DO want me to buff I will charge you 2 credits per point of enhancement.
Basically, its a win-win situation, either you don't have to buff them, OR you make some really good money

Crap, if I put my title up on Kett, I get a tell every 30 seconds, and even without it I get a tell about every 5 minutes while in Theed... Being well known as a master doc is not always the best.

Arriving at Coronet starport with my MD title up and my character beeing searchable, I get an immediate tell-flood for buffs.
I make very good cash with it (and I should, looking at the effort of making D's), and have a lot of satisified return customers.
Only problem I have is the way people send me /tells: "Can U buff PLZ?" , "You Buffing Bud?"...
I tend to ignore those... People can call me m8, or bud if they are friends. Dont like strangers talking to me like that. I always charge "rude" people more than standard.
I wrote some macros to reply the customers with a FAQ, because I did get tired of explaining the randomness, my pricing justification and "Yes, my buffs are good" lines over and over again....

I haven't been wearing my title lately cos I want to work Fencer un-bothered. Working well so far, I've only done about 5 buffs this week outside my PA. Even when I do wear my title, I keep myself unsearchable and don't have a problem travelling, unless it's in the evening and I go throught Theed or Coronet.
I charge 10k on starters and 15k on advanced planets.

When I buff, I charge 10K. If I get a complaint about the price I won't buff anyone else. My character is not searchable, I had on a Medic title (Emergency Tech. I think), I was out at my house, and I still got a /tell before I was done loading into the game. How do they always find me? When traveling I will not go through Coronet or Theed, mainly due to lag, but also because of spam /tells for buffs. With the profession badges showing up in your bio anyone can see that I'm a Master Doctor.

One of my docs insn't a master yet, but has some BE still.. Whenever he has his "Field Scientist" tag up, people ask me for buffs... If i buffed them I could create all sorts for grief for BEs

I'm a MD, and I'd like to think somewhat well known on farstar because of my med resource shop and I rarelygo around without my MD title on. I get tells occasionally but It's not nearly as bad as the people above have posted. I dunno if people on farstar don't yet know the benefits of buffs, if doctors there are a dime a dozen, or if it's because of my character's tendancy to have an attitude problem *smirk* but for whatever reason, I gladly accept my situation. I've seen MD's in coronet spamming to sell buffs on farstar as well so I don't think it's just me .... But I'm not gonna even start with my MD on Shadowfire ... that's a whole 'nother story
