Thread: Resources reaching monstrous prices
Get master doctor, dont use buff packs to get there. Do missions, beg borrow or steel credits to buy a set of buff packs. Probably going to pay 20k per stat.
Go to coronet, with your 110 med droid, bivoli and +25 Wound treatment BE clothing. Sell buffs at 10k each.
You'll get back double your investment. Do that for a couple of evenings instead of doing missions. Buy a few harvesters, buy some avian meat, and make your own. They'll be quite a bit worse than if you bought them and sold half the pack to recoup your investment. its going to take a while to pickup all the good resources you'll need (unless your lucky).
That is now the price of quality avian meat, as its only spawning from Nuna's on tatooine - at 4 units per kill. 250cpu doesnt begin to cover how much money can be made by doing something else.

While 100cpu may sound expensive, you have to remember that each unit has to be collected. They are not the product of a harvester than works when your not there, they require many man hours to get a decent amount. So personally, I think 100cpu is very reasonable for avian because I know I dont want to collect it myself(even though sometimes I do).
Our last spawn was selling for about 80cpu.
I bought half/hunted half of my supply.
I paid 485cpu for some 8 month old 970/930 avian.

Your bitching about much of nothing. You did what you were supposed to do, and DID NOT buy it. Who fscking cares what johnny moneygrubber is charging. He's just another human being of freewill, and as such is not being told by the international avian meat society to fix his prices. Global corporations have not taken over the avian market leaving you with no other avenus of recourse.
Excercise your right, and take your credits elsewhere.

Go to Lok get Perlick Fliers (spelling probably off) for about 3k to 6k per mission.
They look like big bats with long necks - you can hear their wings flapping a mile away.
With Nov Scout (and JUST nov scout) you can get about 500 Avian meat per lair.
Talus also has a similar creature (don't remeber the name) but the ones on Talus are a little harder.
I am Doc / Swordsman so I just walk up to the lair - area attack adozen times and I got 500 Avian Meat.
once you are fairly well off you will realize that 50-100 cpu for quality avian is insignificant. i'm very lucky to not have to pay that much but lemme try to break it down for you....
on average it would cost me 88000 cr to make a factory crate of 50 buffpacks if i had to buy every single resource required. i did the math before and if i remember correctly that breaks down to just under 1800cr per pack. now avian meat is added into this cost but lets assume it is not. 22 avian (28 in some cases) at 100 cpu is 2200 cr, add that to the 1800 and you have a final cost of 4k per pack. these packs sell at a minimum of 14k (depending on quality of course but you just bought high quality meat so hopefully everything else you are using is high quality), 6 packs per set. thats 84k for a full set and your cost was only 24k, thats 60k in profit OR if you drag your happy a$$ to coronet and buff for a mere 5k for a full set of buffs you would gross 125k (25 charges per pack is not unreasonable) for a net profit of 101k. how do you feel about buying the 100cpu avian meat now? it is 5am so if this doesn't make any sense please dont flame, just forget you read it 
**do not mention this to any of your friends that are scouts,pay them 20cpu and ALWAYSgive them free buffs**

your VERY lucky if you can gert 200-400 units of avian from one lair. the only good meat on Gorath for awhile was 911pe 924oq and it droped off dathamier reptilian flyers. you were lucky if you could get 80 units off one lair. I'd realy like to know WHAT animal drops 200units of AVIAN meat per lair. please do tell.
