Docs,

So i walk into theed and someone say "No docs around, wonder where they are. So i

decied to offer my servies.

Do you hate when people make rude suggestive comments when your buffing THERE stats.

"you just made some easy money" "this line sucs" and many many countless others. I

even had a guy tapping his foot. One guy was standing next to me asking my duration

and power while i was buffing a person of the same guild. I just ignored him.

I do not even advertise my services anymore.. I pull my droid and slap my title and

they flock wanting buffs.

Here is the real story. "Do you make money buffing" I can make roughly 100K for a full

set of buffs this is 19 charges which may take a few hours.

Do people really think its easy money sitting here being bored out of our mind buffing

people. NO, I could take my Swordsman and go run solo missions for 26K a pop and make

tons more money that i can sitting in a starport buffing the public.

The reason I became a Doc is to help people not to be insluted at every starport.

I know I know /findsadeadhorse /beatsittotheground

Just had to vent some steam.

If this is the worst of your problems than you are doing much better than all the other profs.

Very true, I have been a doc since I started this charchter, and I have definately experienced some rude people. On the positive side I have also had the experience of meeting some very nice people. The best thing to do is to just not think about the rude ones, and focus more on the fact that there are a lot of truly good people out there.

Go Pistoleer. That'll angry up the blood enough for you. I just set myself to AFK and leave the theme song of Excel Saga (it's really long and in Japanese)as the AFK message. Shuts them up pretty damn quick.

I got very sick of buffing the public. I had a master doc/rifleman. Then I bought a second account and made him a master doc/merchant and had Vermicious (my primary) go Bounty hunter.

Still had the same probs. Constant "doctor tef" bringing tons of tells when I tried to bring the alt to the Tusken Fort, Dantooine, Dathomir, wherever to have for buffs/rez on the main.

So, here's what I did. Dropped BH and now my main is a 4440 doc on his way to master rifleman. Still have good buffs plus all state heals and poison/disease cure, so I'm pretty much invulnerable in PVE and nasty in PVP.

The alt is now merchant (my main income) and is leveling musician and dancer to buff my guildies. I have the support professions on the alt and the combat/healing on the main, and he only does doc stuff for himself and a few close friends.

I found making money as a doc to be more hassle that it's worth, but I like having the skills in PVE/PVP, so that was my compromise.

Every time I log in I'm terrified they changed the game to Dance Dance Revolution without telling anyone after holding a "focus group"

lol, what i hate is when people are doing the whole. Where are all the doctors bit in the mining outpost on dantooine, and i go to the mission terminals and grab some missions, then go to buff myself and head out. People dont seem to understand that just because i buff myself and my group members dosnt mean im gonna go buff the whole outpost just because they want me to.

You just have to develop a system. Figure out what delaying your hunt is worth to you and charge for it. I abhor line buffing but I'll occassionally buff a guildmate or someone out of kindness in Theed and a line will form. As I get bored, my prices go up. Amazingly, the line shortens, they go to the people who are really out there trying to make money and I go along my merry little way. If they don't want to pay what your asking, tell em to buy a ticket to coronet and go get in line.

yes, my normal price for buff is 10K, that gets you 2200+ buffs for 3 hours. If i use bivoli its 13K, that gets you 2400+ buffs. These are my prices if im not busy and not in a bad mood. If im busy, my price is multiplied by 5. If im busy and in a bad mood, multiplied by 10. lol, funny thing is, i have a macro that says all this, and a few others that announce my mood. so i can just go.

/macro prices ; /pause 10 ; /mood busygood

this would announce the above, then two seconds later it would call the macro to tell people im busy but in a good mood so my prices are 50K for a non bivoli buff, 65K for a bivoli buff.

I myself think buffing is a very profitable business. I can make half a million in 1-2 hours on Friday, which basically sets me for at least the week.
