Thread: CMs/Docs and Area Cures
Reasons why CM's should have the area heals:
1) Because a CM is otherwise useless (not that that would sadden many). Except for disease & poison (which wil be greatly neutralized by the Doctor's innoculations), all CMs can do is area stim and heal minds. With the current state of buffs and armor, stims arent very important, and can be done by a doctor who is fast with a /follow command anyway. Mind heal causes so many wounds, it can only be used a few times. Jedi are much more efficient than CMs in this area.
2) Putting the area cures in the hands of CM would make them change the way they play. For the first time, it becomes important to keep a CM alive for healing purposes. Suiciding poison & disease, puts your group vulnerable to other CM attacks.
3) The CM would be an important part of the group for healing purposes and not just poison/disease.

Yep. And the thing is while it says "area" for the cures, the range is so small it may as well be point-blank.
Which is exactly what we as the doc community asked for. We knew that having a true RANGED ability would infrinige on CM's but we also knew that something had to be done to heal a group that had been poisoned by an AOE poison attack because healing one at a time wasn't cutting it.

It's only fair. If you can apply it AND cure it then I want to be able to do it to.
This is the way it's always been. The CM applies poision the doc cures poision. This is no different.

No I think innoculations belong to the doctors. My complaint is that to be viable front line medics, the CMs should have the area cures.

From the look at their schematics and crafting I can tell you right now I am happy to be a Doctor as it is much easier and I make more money. But I cannot turn a blind eye to just how unfair these changes are to their profession. Docs have alot going for them as is. If you say we have no love then you are either kidding yourself, a fookin liar or both. CMs should get something and now they have nothing.
