you will still make money, and I agree that doc buffs need to be looked at.

I think we do need to get over there and voice some opinions, too many people think reducing the strengh of buffs will balance the game. I think there is a case to be made for more carefuil consideration of what we do to address the problem.

I just found out a bit ago in the next mini patch all npc's are getting specials and can switch weapons so they will be harder, someone from test center said nightsisters will have force powers and tuskens can hit pretty good now with specials like overcharge shot

I think the issue is that with our uber buffs (we're just that good) players can wear a full set of comp armor at 80/90% resists, making them veritably un-killable. This creates an imbalance on the Combat side of things when a player can solo the NS cave.
So, instead of revamping combat (as promised)they're going to make it harder for you to survive combat with less armor. Im sure cutting all weapon damage in half is soon on its way.
I dont think any amount of complaining on our part is going to stop something like this. They're grasping at straws here, trying to figure out a way to make it look like they 'fixed' combat, without a full scale combat revamp. They're getting a lot of heat about it, and they're looking for a quick fix to shut people up in the short term.
They're trying the ol 'bait and switch'. This works on my 5 year old, when he wants something expensive, I show him a shiney .79 cent hot wheels car, and when he's distracted enough, I switch them and he's never the wiser. Problem is, we're not 5 years old.
I know I sound jaded, but I've been around too long to expect anything else. So, I'll learn to play the game with nerfed buffs as I learned to play the game with nerfed pets, nerfed meds, nerfed professions, etc...
Why fix what's broken? Lets go for the stuff that works, thats much more fun!

You know it's not just the buffs that unbalance the game. The Devs do a VERY good job of making it unbalanced in the first place. I.E. elders in the game are the bane of all players, players do not make the that powerful and if you nerf the current buffs then NO ONE will be able to kil them even if you are in a big group. Why shouldn't people be able to equipe armor that helps them to fight off the UBER NPC's in the game that have the heavy armor and the 100k+ HAM's. UUUUMMMM, I'm no real expert, but that can and is a problem when you want to get any good loot to make the new weapons from the NEW DEATH DUNGENS that are add to the game every moth or so. I'm a master doc and have been for some moths now and I feel that the buffs are fine as they are. I love to solo things, even with a 2300+ buff and 80% res armor you are not going to solo everything in the game solo. I have died many time with a full buff and armor on. in PvP many people still die even if they are buffed with food and entertainer buffs to boot. When put a NPC and/or creatur in the game that is supper powerful and make it so only groups of 20 or more can kill it, in my book thats not fun. There are a lot of bad players in this game that do stupid things when in a group that can get everyone killed. I have been playing this game for over a year and have suffered through many grup missions deaths because of such players that you had to group with to get any thing done. I know that there are people that still play that can remember only having bone armor to wear, or the worlds worst blaster to use. It's not because they were just bad, but thats all we had to use because the game was still new and everyone was trying to get xp. I feel that veteran players have earned the right to wear the armor that they want and get buffs if they want. You do not have to nerf the whole buff system to fix the problem that is all encompassing. Fix other problems in the game that force players to be buffed to the max to just complete in or out of a group. Then look at the buff system. Don't blame the good docs out there for doing a great job.

who are we kidding? a noob that spends their first week mooching money fromother players can go out and buy 80% resistant armor, get buffs, then go out on his crazed durni missions and pwn them.
I agree its not the buffs. Its the armor and the fact that its not class restricted. Noone will ever convince me a TK should be able to wear full comp and still do all that Bruce-Lee-Jett-Li BS that they do.The combat revamp needs to be addressed and not the buffs.

I've been a doctor for a loooong time and I don't think buffs should be nerfed, the whole combat/healing/HAM needs to be redone. That being said...nerf buffs!

I'm not saying I hope they get nerfed or anything like that, but if buffs are nerfed to 1k people will still pay for them. 1k is better than 0

When they nerf buffs there will be alot of docs who leave that profession, I myself as a crafter try to achieve the highest buffs that I can, that is my personal challenge for myself. Dont think buffs need nerfing I think they need to make things harder/hit harder, not hit the crafters in the game like docs and armorsmiths.
