Three words. Because we can. Sony has removed most of our choice in the matter, but there is one choice we have left...we can refuse to serve the community. And so we shall...It is actually kind of fun to see the reactions I get when I refuse to heal people.

i think i see your point, but thier again its not the other players (commuity) fault.

anyways i heal and enhance them all free as i get it free (only lasts a silly 38 minutes)

Well, I think I will stay Doc...understand, Im not mad at sony...they have to do what makes them money. But I can have fun with it, and it is fun to watch players squirm when I deny them heals, buffs...especially rez. I am evil, so I am playing the role. I have the right to refuse, and that is one thing that sony cannot force me to do.

So, i am having fun with it.

You're utterly wasting your time. Let's say every single doctor in the game right now either quit or respecced into something else. Haven't you ever played any other MMOs? Or even this one for a while? The same thing happens every single time, there are NO exceptions...

Players will get annoyed at the lack of healers, and other players will sense that void and fill it, and the end result of your little temper tantrum is a whole new generation of doctors who WANT to be out there in the field, healing and buffing their groups.

I see your point and I understand your frustration. I don't think what you're doing is going to have any impact (positive or negative) on the game. What I am going to do is charge a good premium on any doctor services that don't involve me getting XP. How else am I going to feed my starving family (which includes just myself)?

I find found the conversion really easy to adapt too. I've been burned by too many people saying heyy can you heal my wounds? Only to see them have an almost entire black health bar. Many times they'll just say thanks when you're done and walk away. So i've set a standard price and pretty much everything but healing/rebuffing while grouped.

full buff set 10k if they complain i'll raise it to 15k and ask if they want to go for 20k.

Old buff prices ehh? Aparently you dont know that your buffs suck now. I'm not charging 10k becuase i'm making people invincible for 3 hours. I'm charging 10k because i spent my skillpoints to have something that you want.

Wounds.

000-100 5k

101-200 10k

201-300 15k

301-400 20k

Dont like the prices? Go find another doc, look right over thereoh wait that's a droid-engineer, oh over there awwww that's a Master Dancer. Looks like you'll just have to spend 5 hours sitting in the medical center cuz you're too lazy to clone.

Resurections - If they're a jedi the base pay is 100k no exceptions. if they're a combattant it's 200k, if they're overt it's 1million. No exceptions. They should have thought of someone jumping them while they were to busy camping a spawn point. Everyone else it's at least 50k more if i'm busy in a group.

There's a lot of money to be made with doctor without the need to run a buff macro everytime you go to sleep.Take advantage of the opportunities presented to you. Without doctors everyones sitting in the medical center not having fun.

I know some of you may see it as a temper tantrum, and those do not understand.

I support those that do heal and charge for it. I commend those that choose to do so....even if you do do it for nothing (which is hard for me to grasp) go for it. I am simply choosing to have fun denying heals. It is a method of play that has become enjoyable to me.....it is another way to play after all.

I am simply making a choice to not heal, buff, rez or group as is my choice. It is not a tantrum, but rather my way of enjoying the suffering of others. Though others will come in and heal, right now that is a rareity. Most often I am the only doctor on.

I see Sayic's point, even though it may not be the other players fault.

Sometimes it take community awareness to get things to change in a community.

Why should other proffessions be allowed to have uber abilities but not doctors?

As hard as we pre CU docs have worked to achieve or prof, I'd think we diserve it.

I do the same thing myself and though it frustrates people they get the point.

And for the one who said /respec, I say do it quick cause respec isn't going to be around for ever.

Yep, when a non medical trained person can heal for better than a master doc, its time to cancel the account. Bye SOE. Congruations of screwing up SWG. Time to move off to World Of Warcraft. Atleast there if you chose to heal its for more than 1/10th your target's life.
