Thread: Why I will not buff, heal or rez, nor group, and nor will my friends....
It's not good, but theyre right. It's not other players' faults. You're a Doc. Your job is to HEAL. If you wanna pout then RESPEC. An old saying in RL applies just as well here: If you don't like your job then quit and find something else. If you don't like healing because of whatever lame excuses you have, then find something else.
No real doctors bother about your meaningless post. Its so anti-doctor it can be. Play your goddam role or respec.
Im healing woundsand buff people for free.
It strengthens the group im in, making us more effective.
Who cares about the money. I get 10k for every mission we go out on together and I have more fun now than I had since I grinded scout on tattooine over a year ago.

Just because the post starting idiot has figured out how to post on this forum doesnt mean he has anything intelligent to say, nor should he clog the forums with his useless whining. If he doesnt like healing people he doesnt have to and he can always respec. But he also posts that he likes the reactions he gets when he "refuses" to heal, and thatto me screams "I am a whiny little punk whos life sucks so bad i get my jolliesfrom jerking other peoples chains." No thank you, he can move along.

Sayic, I don't agree with your philosophy, but I definitely respect it. As far as the argument someone made that more people will respec to doc, well, where are they?
I've also been doing random free healing. There's a lot of black out there.
I'm thinking about setting up wound-healing charges, and I'd base it on character level. Up to level 20, free. 21-49, 2000. 50-69, 5000. 70+ 7500.
Think it's time for the docs to organize

I thinkhis post has merit. The guy's point is he's playing an evil doctor and refusing to conform to the pre-defined role SOE has for doctors by refusing to heal, and he's starting a grass-roots type movement by getting other's to try it as well. IMHO, he's role playing, pure and simple.

He never said he doesn't like healing people, he said he's refusing to heal people. It looks to me that what he's saying is "I am supposed to heal but I won't because I won't be forced into a "cookie cutter" job description. I will continue to be a doctor and role play my toon, but not according to the way you all think I should..."
To say "if he doesn't like to heal he can respec" sounds to me like one is saying "if you refuse to play the game according to the way I want you to then choose another profession." or something like that.

It could also mean he is a doctor for another reason besides fulfilling some "obligation" to heal people. This is a demarcation from the norm and it does cause chaos from time to time, butif that'show he chooses to "protest" the CU, so be it.
I say let the mansay his peace and ifanyone doesn't like what he has to say, they can move along. There's no obligation to click on the thread and post responses ifone doesn't like the content...
first i hated low buffs, kinda still do. but now not everyone that can afford a buff and armor can go and kill everything solo 24/7 without a group, and hey this is a MMORPG....
and be sure is lost xx mill. worth of resources cause buffing meds are useless...
drop doc , makes no sense if u dont wanna play your role at all.

You know, it is incredible to me how long it takes some people to grasp a simple concept.

To me this sounds like a perfectly good reason to deny healing and other services.Play your role friend!

Thank you, at least someone understands.
And there are not hundreds of other doctors....that is just fantasy. Getting away from total doctors and looking at just who is online, you will be lucky to find one or two in the entire server, and THAT is not an exaggeration. Just do a search to see.
Many times I am the only Doctor on Bria. Those days are rather fun days indeed......lots of disgruntled players lol.
