Thread: Master Doc + MAster CM?

I know this might sound strange but i want to be the best group healer i possibley can be. This is my alt characater and he is totally for group support, i don't much care about having a combat prof to complent it. Would haveing Master Doc along with Master CM & Master Medic help me at this, or would i just be waisting my skill pts and time. What i mean is, would i like cap out on Healing and Cureing efficiency? After I Master Doc ( I am 4/4/0/4) and start why way toward Master CM would I be able to heal more dmg as i recived the +Healing Efficiency Mods in CM?

Do u guys think this would be worth it.

This is quite a widely used template, not sure about Master Medic though, you could get a line of an elite ranged profession and have 4 skillpoints left over for a line of FS.

yeah but i am not all that interested in any Combat profs for this toon. But u think having 1 tier in FS healing tree would be more effictive than master medic?

Hopefully in the future FS healing will be useful, but at the moment it does nothing but take up skillpoints...

Ok, how about Master CM, Master Doc, Master Medic, FS Healing IV (currently does nothing for healing, might be worth banking xp and hoping for a future fix.) and PIstols, Carbs or Rifles4 from Marksman...

My template:

Medic 444x
Master Combat Medic
Master Doctor
Marksman xx44
Carbineer xx4x
Senses 4xxx

In my opinion, Master Medic is a waste of skill points if you arent going to craft medically (And with MCM/MD you wont have any sp for BE to craft anythign of real use). If you are concerned with healign eeficiency points you can always biomoded clothing and I would suggest investing in a medical droid to bump up your buff times :-)

Is the combo of Master Doc and Master CM over kill on the healing? Is this in much demand for grouping? Does the two professions compliment each other? Or can one of the two support a group just fine and the combo is not needed or beneficial?

It depends.....I personally didn't care for it, because I was constantly getting owned due to the Hate system...It does offer higher healing eff. so that help with both professions. I can support a group no problem with MD....I do have the Ranged Healing line in Medic though which does help a lot sometimes. So it just depends..

My template:

Master Doctor/Master Riflewoman/Medic 4/0/4/0/Entertainer 0/0/3/4

I've even done pretty well in PvP with that template, as I can heal my own states, keep myself buffed, deal lots of damage, and outheal my enemy (who is limited to stims only). If you time it right, you can make the most out of stims and doc heal and keep your mind alive.

So it sounds like taking Doc with a combat prof instead of CM is a better route to take? Can a Doc support a group sufficiently without ranged heals during combat? Andare the Bio and Chem attacks of the CM not significant?

it comes down to your play style.... as a master cm, doc 0004 i get agro'd an unbelievable amount.... if i went to master doc... it would be even more.... however this would be because my healing would jump up about 200 points a heal, i think was the number crunch


but if you want ranged heal with doc... try doing 1 master elite ranged combat prof/ MDoc/CombatMedic 4000, you get better forms of spray and shot, while some extra efficency..... in the end it's your choice, and you will most likly have to play around till you find what suits you.

How hard is it to find tanks that can hold agro? I just tried exercising the medic line and heal some during combat and I drew agro every single heal. But then again, this is based off a very small play time for experimentation.
