Thread: Master Doc + MAster CM?

I've been master doc / master cm for a long time and healing in CM really benefit from having doc too (in the CU atleast). However, currently this character is useless since I can't heal anything without getting plenty of threat, usually out-healing the threat of jedi and swordmen by far. However when this issue is solved (soon) I hope that this template will be as fun as it was pre-CU (being a lone healer in dwb is really a kick).

pre-CU I had to have Master Medic for doctor and CM but now I'll use Pistoleer 0004 to add an extra level of suport to the group and if possible handle some of the threat I get on my own by rooting the aggro:ed mob. Since the Healing Eff. gained won't add that much I feel it's not necessary to waste the SP on master medic.

Is there any news on when the heal threat levels will be fixed?

I wanted an "uber-healer" template so I have master doc and 4000 CM. There are no heals in the master box of CM and besides that one line, which contains bacta throw and bacta spray, the rest are debuffs. I guess in theory I could get more bang for my buck with additional skill mods that MCM provides, but honestly, I'm a healing machine in the field, and I had no interest in poisons and whatnot.

Are those extra heals useful? Oh yeah! Arguably more versatile than the doctor heals. I generally stick to the doc heals, except if someone is really far out, and then I toss a bacta toss. The bacta spray is a very nice "panic button" for when things get hairy. But most importantly, with 4 heals to choose from, there is always one that is "back online" (timer-wise) when I need it.

With the extra points I got master pistoleer and I'm quite content with my "uber-healer" template.

Does the pistoleer compliment the role of the doc or did you just choose it because you liked pistols?

Yes, totally true. I generally keep MCM for paralyse (very good creature control skill which you can chain on a mob) and the snare skill (can't remember the name ). But changing that for master pistoleer might be worth it.

I keep pistoleer because pistoleer is a suport profession. It doesn't exactly complement doctor but it's good to do some crowd control if stuff gets to hairy.

Also having a use for the pistol gained at master cm isnice. Having it equipped is kind of a signature thing, showing that I'm a cm.

Having the stopping shot and pistolwhip is pretty good for a combo with doctor. If something starts whacking me, I stopping shot it and run for the hills. If that won't work, I KD with pistolwhip, and run for the hills. I was a bit disappointed with pistoleer's crowd control, to be honest.
