1. Do you have to have any Medical or Doctor type skills to use them, or can anyone use them?

2. How many mods can you stick in one?

3. Do they heal all wounds expect the ones under "mind" pools? (str and quick)

4. Anyone selling them on Ahazi?

5. Can you have them heal others?

Thanks

Well since no one else is going to answer

Dont mind us DE's we're just a bitter bunch, and those who ask us what our droids to force us to think of just how pathetic they are ..

1 - No they do not heal you. Yes anyone can use them.

2- 3 for the ADV model

3- They dont heal any wounds at all.

4- Probably, but who'd take the time to make them?

5- No.

just a correction: you DO have to have medical skill to use the medical functions of the droid. All the droid does if give you portable hospital services. Basically lets a medic do the things they can only do in a hospital in any environment.

Oh Oh! And they can also significantly improve your dmg healing, (cough) to all you combat medics

Also depends on your medical module lvl, too

Its also a talking class droid. The devs stated personality chips will be removed from droids that do not talk. So this one will retain the personality chip slot.

I made one last night, put a sarcastic personality chip in it. And the guy swears he does not get the "Converse" option. He only gets the "Program" option. I never made one for myself, but I believe him cause he was kind of upset about it. Perhaps it is supposed to be a talking one, but it does not appear to be.

Thanks for the info guys.

So with this info, what's the diff between a surgical driod and a R2 unit with med mod and crafting station?

I'm not trying to upsetting you guys .The more I hear about driods, the more I feel sorry for you all.

Angry is a way of life.....

Some of the information above is false.

Hereare the correct answers to his questions:

Q. Do you need Medic Skill?
A.Yes. The Medical module installed at the time of creation has a rating. For example, a Level 1 module has a rating of 35 and a Level 6 Module has a rating of 95. Obviously a higher rating would allow better healing. This rating is applied to your skills as a modifier, so you must have at least th Novice Medic skill to utilize the droid.

However, I have noticed adjusted healing is partly based upon what type of medicine you use. You will not see much of a difference with low skill/cheap stimpacks. But the difference is huge when using high skill/expensive medicine.

I believe this is by design. There's not much a Doctor can do to make a bandaid stick better but give that same doctor a scalpel, someclampsand anethesia and he's phenominal.

Q. How many modules can be installed?
A.The Normal 2-1B Surgical Droid can hold2 Modulesand a Personality Chip. These are typically a Medical Module, a Food/Chem station, and whatever chip you prefer.

The Advanced version of the 2-1B Surgical Droid can hold a General Module Cluster, Armor, and a whatever chip you prefer. This in theory allows you to install a Medical, a Crafting Station, and one other module (maybe repair), along with a Personality Chip and Armor (disabled).

All 3 modules are combinedinto a single component before installation into the droid. There is a bug which allows only one module in the cluster to work correctly. I am unsure if this pertains to all items in the Cluster or just Crafting Stations. I will test this today.

Q. Do they heal wounds?
A. Yes. They can heal all wounds except Mind. Anywhere except a Cantina.

Q. Can you have them heal others?
A. Yes. I will go so far as to even say other can utilize the Crafting Station as well. I am unsure of whether or not a person in close proximinity to your droid will gain the benefits of using the Medical Module, but will test this as well today.

That just about covers it, except the one questionabout selling them on Ahazi.

The difference between the R2 model and the Surgical model is the R2 requires the buggy General Module Socket Cluster (explained in my previous post) and the Surgical does not.

The R2 Advanced Model allows for a General Module Socket Clusterplus 2 other Modules. So, you could place a total of 5 modules of different types in the droid. That is, if the Clusters worked correctly.

If you just like the R2 model and don't care much about cash, then purchase an Advanced R2 and tell the DE to leave the GMSC out of the droid.

Also remember modules of the same type do not stack to provide bonuses as opposed to using just 1 module.

Where's the stupid EDIT button? I forgot to mention the Advanced version of the Surgical Droid uses a GMSC also, but no other slots except armor and a chip.

As far as personality chips go, to my knowledge you cant converse with the driod it will make comments now and a gain. The only thing is that i have had my probot for three weeks and last night was the first time i ever heard him say anything. I forgot what he said because we were being beat down by mountian squills, but it was kind of funny.

Hopefully they will fix the personality chips so they talk more i find it really amusing. Maybe give it a switch if we want to turn it off.

Yes you need medical skills. You do not need medicines to heal like with a Medical Module and you CAN heal yourself, but not the Mind pools. I did it the other day. Adv models can hold 3 modules I think.
