Ugh, these doctors that are buffing for free, I realize they have all this money to throw around, but then they ruin it for every single doctor around them by making it so they either buff for free or get nothing, at all. Thus, bybuffing for free, people like me lose all my buff packs and can't replace them (yeah I buy my buffpacks, I don't make much profit, but I keep people happy and thats all that counts).
By buffing for free to get Force exp, you hurt others. Keep this in mind as you get higher into the grind.

They'll run off to exchange that XP soon enough. If all the other doctors were chased off, you'll have more people to buff than you can handle.

They probably wouldn't, concidering the jump from Cord. to Dathomir is shorter than 3 jumps from Tat to Cord. to Dath...

Blame SOE for making a f*cked up grind for doctors. Don't blame the players.

I do not buff for free but.....
If I was I would just buff my pet, store, call, buff.. rinse and repeat.
If people wAnt to give out buffs for free I can't blame them. Nor can I complain. Our profession has been getting a nice black-eye lately in regards to Buff prices. I don't make my money starport buffing so I don't care if people are giving it away for free.
Welcome to a capitalist economy though. These Doc's have the money to spend on buff packs and just give em away. Unfortunately thats just how it is. Does it hurt your business? Probably, but thank God people can do what they want to.
I do not agree with telling other people what they can or cannot do in a game. It's a game. If your business is suffering, I suggest moving to a different starport to buff. Find a spot without any other Doc's around. For example, Endor, Yavin 4, Dant Imp outpost... newbie cities.. etc.
Sorry this stuff affects peoples business but unfortunately thats capitalism for ya.
(Although, if everyonbe was buffing for free that would be more like socialized medicine.. hmm.. interesting, makes ya think.)
I feel your pain, sorry you're losing cash. People can do what they want, you need to find a way around it.

I only buff guildies for free. Otherwise I buff myself and I will buff 11 people which then capse me out, Then I will go run missions on dantooine from a improved job market cap out on fencer xp then hop a shuttle back to cnet then to dath and cash in. I make 150k from buffing and 1-2 million from running Janta missions depending on how fast I am grinding and go from there. And this is from me coming back to the game after a 3 month layoff since I got tired of grinding professions that I knew I would never keep. Puhlease Musician ACK!
Believe me every profession has its downs I really feel for the Scouts......

If you're buffing for profit, I recommend moving as far away from the Village as possible...further than the Science Outpost...further than any spaceport on Corellia. Maybe Theed, or even Bestine. Dantooine might be good too. As someone else mentioned above, Docsgivingfree buffs togrind for FS xp won't want to have to travel too far to convert it, so they'll likely be congregated on Dath or Coronet.
