Thread: Question about enhancements

I have a question I could not find: I just got enhance skill (I am 0/2/1/4) and I made some B enhancers and was getting only an enhance of about 120 to 150 on each HAM stat. Ive seen enhances in the 1000's. I know it has to do with the quality of the enhancer plus how far up wound treatment you are. But my specific question is:

What will give me more bang for the buck in terms of skill points? Should I go up medicine knowledge so I can use the more powerful enhancers? or go up wound treatment and get more enhance from using B enhancers?

Also on a side question: I experiment the ease of use on these things, but it actually goes UP if I experiment. Is this a bug?

if you want more bang for your buck so to speak hands down you should increase both medical knowledge and wound treatment. this will allow a greater chance to get a better buff from your packs. as for the actual pack. Bs don't really do a whole lot. it's when you get intot he Ds that the real magic starts happening, unfortunately there is a large variance on what amount you get out of any pack, but especially Ds. I've enhanced health and action by up to 2000 before and then most of the other times I get as low as 400... resources also play a big part but you know that already. the better stuff you have the better product you get.

Yes the ease of use experimentation is a bug, if ya plan on being a master doc then my suggestion is get master in med crafting then get your medicine use up so you can use enhance H/A D's.

Using those enhancements will give you more xp post patch and easier i'd say to just drop em on unsuspecting ppl in a very populated place to gain exponential medical xp.

thanks all for your replies. So how much enhance should I be getting if I am for example 0/2/4/4 using D enhancers (or whatever is the best at Master chemist) with only Advanced wound treatment?

Im master doc, ive hit into the 2400's with 0/2/1/4. when i got master, i didnt really see too much difference. Ive hit into the 2800's but as low as 800's. I mean, enhancers have a wide range, ive hit the 2400s+ with a 764 base and 2400+ with 902's, i mean, its chance really. It makes me sad when i do a900 or something with a 894 d and then a 1400 with a 450 secondary c, which is basically half the base stat as the d, lol. D's are the way to go if your gonna do enhancers, if your not gonna make them, go 0/2/3/0. my ds are at 74-78 med use, if you stockpile good resources, your good. If yours come out at a higher med use, then get the 4th box, u might have to dependin on your resources on your galaxie. my 2 pennies

I pretty much agree with everyone here, The only exception I have is Sunkistboi's advice to enhance unsuspecting people in a populated area for xp. The reason being, although it may seem like you are doing a favor, once a player is enhanced in a stat, they cannot get another one until it wears off. That player you just used an enhance B on may have been waiting, or looking for a higher enhance from another Doc. The only way to get rid of an enhancement is to either wait for it to wear off, or die.

I know I would be mighty pissed if I was at the starport waiting for my Master Doc friend to come and enhance me, and someone gave me a lower level enhance while I was waiting. Because my only option then is to try and get my self Deathblown by someone or something, so that I could get the enhance I was looking for. It could also be viewed as a griefing tactic by some. And give a bad name to Doc's in general.

You could, however, park yourself in a crowded area or med center and offer your enhancements to any, and everyone. letting them know what they can expect from it, and that you are working your skill so that you will be able to offer them bigger and better enhancements in the future.

So basically I'm saying, Dropping Enhancements on unsuspecting people who have not asked for it = Bad.

Offering Enhancements in highly populated areas and enhancing as many people as you can, after they have agreed to it, or asked for it = Good.

Whether you wish to charge for these services whilst you work the skill is totally up to you, I think any service deserves some sort of compensation. And whether it be an Enhance-A, or an Enhance-D. You would be providing a service.

Best of luck on your adventure.

With a good hit off excellent enhance D's I have boosted each stat as much as 2200 points, and they last for 2-3 hours.

Ive hit 2400+ several times with an enhance D (master doc) and hit up to 900 with a good enhance B.

Like stated though, they are all over the place.. which causes people to bitch when I buff them and drop a 600, and they look at me like I just pawned off something subpar.. I hate that.

Yeah, had a couple times where i got like 200 or health enhance, had a friend get below 100 before. I was just about to buff myself both of these times, lol. Buffing unknown ppl(especialy ones with a master doc tag) with low quality enhancers=bad.

Is there anywhere to find a comprehensive list of what enhancements can be used on what components? I still have no idea what to use for an Advanced Projectile Feed Mechanism Enhancement. If any knows of a URL that would be great.
