I have found that I can only seem to get my BECs up to 22/14, my Chems up to 67, and my solid deliveries up to 70. And I have to leave experimentation points on the table when crafting these items. Is this normal, and is there a way around it?

I am using the best resources all around

I have a 15 crafting tooland 45 a station

The only thing I am not doing is crafting from a medical city.

Thanks,

Beefcake

The extra 2 experimentation points will only help you either when:

1. You are experimenting on an item that has multiple experimentation lines, or

2. When you get a moderate or lower experimentation, the extra points will allow you to fix that.

ABEC's are the only sub-component that benefit from the extra two points as the others can be maxed out with 10pts. As for your med, anything with multiple lines benefit. You can cap out the power/duration line on buffs with 10pts and use the extra two to bring down med use and/or increase charges.

If you're leaving points on the table with your ABEC's then it's your resources that are limiting you by a long ways. Just to compare, one of my sets of resources for ABECs is OQ1000 UT 250 Fiberplast and OQ818 PE 39 Lokian Wheat (not my best BEC combines by far) and I'm still leaving points on the table when I get the C20/P14 ABEC that results from this.

If I were to use my better combine materials I'd potentially be leaving7-9 points on the table when I was done experimenting

the combine on your packs will see a lot of use with those points, if your selling them, lower the med use to 90, you can still max the power with 12 pionts,

certainly better.

Thanks all for the enlightenment. I had no idea the avian and gas made such a huge difference in the final product compared to the sub components.

Suppose I found a friend who would allow me to setup a vendor tent in his medical city. Can one drop a crafting station in a vendor tent?

Thanks again for teh help, this doctor forum is great

A vendor tent is basically the same as any structure, just that it can't be set to Private.

You probably also know that placing a merchant tent requires merchant Efficiency IV (x4xx branch of the Merchant tree).

I recently used a merchant tent as a mobile lab by my factories just outside our city (can you spell lazy? ). I can just confirm that it is possible to place a crafting station inside it. I must warn you though, that it gets cramped very quickly, so the space available for vendors inside will be quite thin. But, it is possible.

Hey beefcake congrats on the 12 pt I know you have been trying for a while. I geuss you got that +7 tape to work. The extra pts are helpful in the becs I can get 24P/13C from 11pts or 21C/15P and 20C/17P from 11 with some good amazings. The extra pts would also help at the end getting them to med use 90 or extra charges. On the crdm your right on for the resourses we have had available on the sds your a lil low. The resourses are holding you back,Im getting 73. Hope it helps.

Sorry to hijack the thread a little but my question seems to fit in...

I thought about selling buffpacks... is there any point in trying as a 10pter?

You can still make some really nice buff packs with med use over 90 being a 10pter. Assuming you're using some high quality resources and avian with high OQ and PE, decent DR you can pretty much max the effectiveness line while crafting.

Only problem with this is that it will obviously limit your potential customers a lot, since they will be Master Doc only packs. But I know a few Docs that did pretty well starting like this. It was their way to raise capital to invest in their 11th point. (And getting the 11th point is a lot easier than the 12th, since you can start off with an apron and only need to buyother 5 points in tapes).

If you like crafting I'd say go for it.

Nothing worth doing is completed in our lifetime,
Therefore, we are saved by hope.
Nothing true or beautiful or good makes complete sense in any immediate context of history;
Therefore, we are saved by faith.
Nothing we do, however virtuous, can be accomplished alone.
Therefore, we are saved by love.
No virtuous act is quite a virtuous from the standpoint of our friend or foe as from our own;
Therefore, we are saved by the final form of love which is forgiveness.
