Yesterday I was in coronet city on corellia and while walking around I coundn't stop and notice how many doctors are about. Every which way I looked they were about 3 master doctors on each side of me. Then at the starport I saw 6 master doctors out of 15 people waiting for the shuttle (i took a screen shot of it). This is the sad state the game as become were every other player wants to be a doctor I hope pubish 10 will sort this problem out. The good side of it is that buffs have come down in price.

Doctor has become a must for major pvpers these days with all the states, DoT's and mind damage. i see alot of people in my shop that are talking about grinding doc just for the heals and stuff

... but not many good doctors. Most of them don't carry a full complement of meds and almost none of them have macros set up for battle. A good doctor who has a crate of everything and instantly cures/heals every problem is wortha hundred"buffing for 10k" doctors in front of the starport.

I have played since Sept, and noticed in the past month a huge increase in doctors, just this past week I noticed a good number of them in Coronet and Theed- there were at least 2 doctors selling buffs in Coronet. I as a doctor carry every state pack, fire blanket, resurection kit, woundpacks, stimpacks and of course buff packs- everything a doctor needs and I have been tipped plenty of times for helping strangers with their wounds or diseases.

I can't count the number of times I've seen a buffing doctor say "sorry I don't have woundpacks on me" or "I don't have any rez kits" but are only interested in just buffing for money. It may be true most of them are for PVP.

What I do on my doc. /peace /healstate ect for the other heals. Works like a charm.

/healstate in itself has been a godsend in the Geo caves. Burn through intimidate packs like nobodys business but we get the job done.

Truly a wise person to see this. A master doctor myself (the very first profession I wanted to be, and have kept it ever since its mastery), I have seen times when in coronet there will be 3 buffers around with huge lines, but when a person wants a fire removed (not even TEF'ed, so there's no penalty to the doc), state, poison/disease removed, or even so much as TRAINING, the "busy buffer" either "doesn't ahve the time"or lacks supplies. Why in the GALAXY should a doc not ahve cure poison/disease packs? I always carry a full stock of state heals, rez packs, DoT heals, stims, and buffs. But NONE of these is more important than another to me, and will restock if I'm low on any one of them.

As for turning people down for training, some people just need to be less self-centered, and help someone besides themselves for a change. When someone asks for training, EVEN IF not directed towards asking me, I will always offer. I ask THEM to send ME the invites, so that I don't screw up my buffing macro by targetting them, train them in what they want, I'll ask if they have any Q's to becoming doc if they are progressing, and wish them luck. When I see a person on fire, as long as they won't give me a TEF for healing them, I cure that, as well as other states. Things like stims, status heals, and those sorts work on independent timers than buffs and wound heals, so There IS time, at master, it's still 15 seconds between the different stats of buffs, which is plent of time to target another person, give them the status healing they need, and re-target the person being buffed with no problem.

Doctors ARE a profession of making money, but the PRIMARY PURPOSE of a doctor is to HELP others. Without others needing help, docs would NEVER make money.

The ability to buff should be moved to the Master Doctors Level Period If you want to be able to buff you need to use the skill points and then watch what happen's. It will be like the fall of roam around this place or of the holoy lands. MURRRDEERRR /LMAO

Seriously the ability shoould be move to the Master Doctors Level Possibly or to be able to buff each stat should be tied to the 4th level box. Stamina/Quick/Action/Health the forth box the grind box, should also have Strength and const also on the forth box.

That will seperate the buffers but would also hurt my business hehe, but then the price of a buff would rise and then that would be the fall of Roam agin /shrug. Just my thoughts.

Sax,

Why are you not healing people if it will give you a TEF? A TEF will only be picked up if you're covert, surely your allies deserve as much assistance as a stranger that's wandered up off the street.

It frustrates me watching a couple of overt imperials show up in Coronet, kill any overt rebels, with not 1% of covert rebels attempting to do anything to aid their overt allies. Sure, if we're unbuffed, without combat skills, we run a high chance of being killed. But throwing a couple of chunky heals or curing our allies poison/disease may be enough to allow our allies to take down their oponent. If you've signed up for the war, on either side, make an effort to help those you've joined up with.

Yep Doc has become a major source of income for people. For you guys who earn your living this way your going to be in for quite a shock. When hologrinding dies, doc resources go up (because they won't be able to make money any other way), competition increases, and bring forth the anarchy. I want to have a front row seat. The people that make and sell meds may only get hurt by meat prices but they will see an increase in sales.
